About this deal

Now you’re settled down with a Mrs, 3 kids and a mortage and the pressures of life, the same scent may not have the same connotations of youthful freedom and good times. As it progresses, the honey and rose come to the forefront creating a soapy animalic vibe which is very pleasing for fans of old school scents. The development is gorgeous, not for the faint hearted, it has that urinal vibe going on for a bit, a bitterness that tends to put some folks off this juice.

You get a very lovable dry down with a very strong sweet tobacco, oak moss, sandalwood, patchouli and musk - the inevitable 5 of the 80's. Depending on your age, you might find this scent transports you back to standing at the sink in your grandpa's bathroom, or perhaps your first time shaving and applying aftershave. This fragrance is for the man who never settles for less than the best, opening with fresh, invigorating nutmeg and cardamom, fused with a heart of patchouli and sandalwood. I think that scents are very closely associated with memories and good old days when we were young, free and single - out clubbing with mates every weekend etc. Hugo Boss Number One Eau de Toilette is a chypre fragrance that reflects the same quality and style as the elegant Hugo Boss menswear.

BOSS Number One opens with fresh, invigorating nutmeg and cardamom, fused with a heart of patchouli and sandalwood, ending with enticing balsamic accords.

I thought I found myself a bottle of the classic stuff but on spraying, this smells nothing like what I used back in the 90s. Not without a reason, as this was originally released in 80s, and probably this popular fragrance was copied to everything around us over the years. But I only put on two and I think I could put on another and it would be completely fine to wear out in public. This new version with silver cap is great, bottle is more elegant than the vintage but I think that they should have kept that signature vertical lines. Some say it smells like a urinal deodorant cake - perhaps a little, but as the first real BOSS fragrance this one is a powerful masculine statement to make. The florals waste no time in making their appearance, with the rose and jasmine coming in loud and clear. It vibes me and reminds me and is in the similar genre as Aramis original, Stetson, and perhaps even in a fainter way like a scent like old spice. Just two sprays on your chest, side of your neck, on your wrists, and hair near the ears, is enough for a long long projection.

Hugo Boss smells well blended and after the slightly harsher citrus opening it mellows down to an elegant blend of wood, musk, flowers, honey with an animalic touch. Stepping out of the shower I quickly dry off and eat a citrus lunch before taking a stroll thru the garden. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I owned a small bottle of the stuff, and I was so in love with that scent that it will stay with me for the rest of my life.It is a Great Fragrance and In my opinion, A MASTERPIECE and A Legendary Perfume For Men of Character. For the time it was produced, I hoped for a greater performance, but it is pretty average in the section. The sweetness does not dominate as much, and I can sense the other notes' presence without necessarily being able to pick them individually. I could see Trump rocking this in the 80s when meeting with greedy Wall Street bankers in their pinstripe three piece suits, rolex and leather wingtips.
