not saying that is a bad thing, just not relevent and a little weird a toddler is trying to get me to love his mom) Maybe I'm just reading into this WAY to much. The language by Isabel Otter is appropriately uncomplicated and Alicia Mas’ pictures are colourful making them useful to point to and introduce new vocabulary. whereas here, mum is functional carrying out mundane, typical "gender role" jobs and that's why we should love her. My daughter learnt the last word of every line due to the simple rhyming and its a pleasure to read. Whatever the reasons, this cheery picture book explores the relationship between a mother and her toddler through a simple rhyming text about everyday experiences with which small children will be very familiar.

Whichever you choose, we hope you enjoy being part of your unique reading community – happy reading everyone! I also have to give this book 3 stars because I think the audience is too specific and would not reach a wide audience.
