About this deal

I'm not sure why I read this book, but I bought it a few years ago for some reason (probably mentioned by some Youtuber) and so I finally finished reading it. Granted, the book was originally written in the 1950s, so we don't have the pleasure of seeing Chernev's reaction to games by the likes of Fischer, Tal, and their contemporaries. The games are simple to follow, and combinations easy to visualize -- as opposed to more advanced and subtle games better suited to more experienced players. The content in this book - the descriptions, the explanations, the way the passion of the author is exciting to read and demonstrated with each move - is fantastic. Kingside Attack: attack a defensive king protected by a box of armor, having castled, and surrounded by pawns, by pulling an errant pawn out of formation, weakening the sheath.

therefore , one who wants to improve as fast as possible should read this book and really absorb all that it tells you [ and obviously one should play others as much as he can to put your studying to practice ] therefore play a lot!The author has a delightful writing style, and the book really built my ability and appreciation for chess. As the subtitle says, the explanation really is move by move, meaning each move is followed by a solid paragraph of explanation and thought. That's not too much of a problem when it comes to the tactics, because tactics never go out of fashion.

Does anyone know if the book is available as a real chess e-book somewhere (something like Forward Chess where a board is built into the book)? fantastic scene of torch bearing sacrifice orc-pawn marching up the field as the heroes are lock-horned. WARNING make sure you get the correct edition as there are older editions which have the Descriptive (English) Notation. Both these methods help me to actually visualise the game as I read through, and play, the games themselves. I still like Logical Chess and 'The Most Instructive Games Of Chess Ever Played' is really worth visiting as well. This did work for a time, but I eventually hit the plateau I've been in and decided I'd start studying the game a bit more seriously. I've been playing Chess casually for years online(not many people I know play it), and I realized that my rating hadn't gotten better in years.
