Greene King has launched four new beers that reflect the brewery’s 200 year-old history along with the far older history of its home town, Bury St Edmunds. The story of St Edmund tells of the brave King Edmund who was killed by Danish invaders on 20 November 869 after refusing to denounce his Christianity. Finally, the beer is “dry hopped” – the addition of fresh hops prior to packaging – with Centennial, Galaxy and Mosaic. Dry hopped with galaxy, contennial and mosaic, the aroma is balanced between tropical and grapefruit notes, finished off with a subtle bitterness for ultimate sessionability.
