On the first sniff this romantic floral perfume reminds me of Arden Beauty, Elizabeth Arden,- very realistic smell of freshly cut roses paired with freesia, but later it develops into something more abstract, luxurious and musky like the aroma of your favourite Deluxe Camelia soap on your skin after the shower. Whenever I come back to this one, the chemical smell of the initial spray topnotes make me dare hope that it's finally gone off and I have an excuse to just throw it out. Herrera I need an intense/eau de parfum version of this, not another summer/surf/on ice/whatever… version of 212. We can also see Hexyl Cinnamal (an oily waxy spicy-fruity jasmine ingredient) is added into the mix. That's how Blue de and Sauvage catches a lot of people and Chic's opening while familiar or "generic" as the others are, would be very appealing to a lot of people. Chic is another excellent men's cologne by Carolina Herrera who mastered the art of blending both citrusy notes with spicy/woodsy notes to create a unique high quality frag. I get a watermelon and just a slight hint of pepper in the opening when it dries down a bit the cinnamon and cardamon come out to play. It gets me compliments, if someone is close enough, because it is not loud fragrance, no one smells is doesn't like it.

Undoubtedly an astonishingly safe men's fragrance, but probably best suited for the younger man who needs entry level fragrances, both good-smelling and inexpensive.
