Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Glenury Royal has been carefully crafted by Master Blender Jim Beveridge and his small team of expert whisky makers using eight handpicked whiskies from the four corners of Scotland, including three irreplaceable “ghost” whiskies. Presenting Johnnie Walker Blue Label Elusive Umami - a new limited edition collaboration between culinary virtuoso Chef Kei Kobayashi and whisky expert Emma Walker. While blended Scotch is smooth and buttery, single malt Scotch is oaky, with more of a woody flavour. Whiskies from two other "ghost" distilleries, Cambus and Brora are also included, alongside a host of five exceptionally rare single malts selected from the high-quality Johnnie Walker Blue Label reserves. At the heart of this blend lies the highly sought-after whisky from the legendary Highland “ghost” distillery of Glenury Royal, a hidden treasure of the whisky world, which closed its doors in 1985.

Jim Beveridge used malts from Pittyvaich, Glen Elgin, Inchgower, Glenlossie, and Glenkinchie, as well as grains from Cambus and Cameronbridge to build out the expression.

At the heart of this blend lies whisky from the Highland "ghost" distillery of Glenury Royal, a hidden treasure of the whisky world, which closed its doors in 1985. For this limited edition Ghost and Rare, A hidden treasure from distilleries’ long closed Glenury Royal takes centre stage in the high malt content, with additional malts from Glenkinchie, Glenlossie, Pittyvaich and Glen Elgin, which have been married with old grain whiskies from Cambus and Carsebridge.
