As discussed in this project, there are many different UV-absorbing sunscreen chemicals. Some of them have already been banned in several locations. Take a closer look at all the active ingredients in chemical or physical sunscreens. Do some research to find out what their function is and if there are any health or toxicity issues associated with them. This week’s episode rounded up the end of series 20 and it was a good’n. Once you know the absorbance of your sample, you can calculate its sunscreen concentration based on your calibration curve.
