The bumper and front laser guns were in red plastic, the base was bare metal, while the windows, rear engine and exhaust pipers were in chromed plastic. In the USA the models were packaged on long cards with a small Hot Wheels logo and a large Tattoo Machines one. Inside the special ball-shaped package, you will find a different super tattoo every time with lots of Hot Wheels cars and a colorful plasticine to have fun with your friends to make fantastic models. The temporary tattoos that were popular in the 1990s had much more realistic designs and were printed on a thin film that stuck to the skin and could be washed off after a few days.

Dragon Wagon proved more successful than Road Pirate, as it was incorporated into the main Hot Wheels line in 1995, under the name of ‘ Speed Blaster’. This odd machine is covered in a series of razor-sharp, drooling fangs… not something I have ever seen inked on anyone’s arms. The beautiful, art deco Talbot Lago, probably one of Hot Wheels’ nicest models, which originally appeared in 1988, was given the insult of being changed into Spiderider. Another unlikely tattoo design, it was painted dark blue with a series of coloured lightning bolts all over.
