About this deal

Formovie V10 4K Ultra HD Projector that was released recently, and this article will share my experience and review of the Formovie V10 Projector. HDMI inputs are located on the projector's rear panel, including 1 with eARC. (Image credit: Future) Performance Talking about dimensions, Fengmi V10 is really compact. It is 200 by 210 mm. The weight is 3800 grams. By the way, I forgot to tell you about MT9669 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory in the new projector. There is also FENGMI operating system, so you can watch YouTube, Netflix, or install any other Android apps. Price and Buy With 4K resolution, the projector can produce sharp images with 8.3 million pixels. Regarding colors, the projector has 118% coverage of DCI P3 and 10Bit color depth, producing crisp images with rich details. As for HDR, it can decode HDR 10+. The MEMC can effectively eliminate some image problems such as jitter and trailing and produce a smooth viewing effect.

At a pre-CES event, Samsung announced a new 8K version of their Premiere Laser TV, but since it wasn't displayed in their booth, we didn't get the opportunity to see it in person. The Premiere 8K utilizes the same native 4K UHD (3840×2160) DLP (.94″ DMD) chip as Hisense's upcoming 8K Laser TV. When this DLP chip is combined with Texas Instruments XPR technology should result in a crisp 8K image on screens as large as 150 inches. I am sure we will get the opportunity to evaluate the unit when it is available in late 2023. Samsung’s The Freestyle is currently our top portable projector choice owing to its clever and versatile design, which allows for a wide range of indoor and outdoor projection applications. It’s also an affordable portable projector option considering all the cool things it can do, including streaming from apps using the same Tizen smart interface found in the company’s TVs.

One feature of the LTV-2500+ (and LTV-3500) that’s not found on other ultra short throw models is 3D support. While new movies on 3D Blu-ray are few and far between, there still are 3D fans out there with the best Blu-ray players and disc collections, and the company added that feature in reaction to user requests. (AWOL includes active shutter glasses with the projector.) I regularly post updates on Facebook, I also organize contests to win prizes. Here too, the number of fans is important to obtain material. The 4K projector is powered by Feng OS, a customized AOSP platform. See our previous post on Android TV vs AOSP to know their differences. The native resolution of the new projector is 4K. There are 8.3 mega individual pixels, which is 4 times more than Full HD projectors have. So, there is no point in comparison of 4K and 1080P projectors. Finally, we can talk about gaming features. You know, the company says this is a gaming projector, because it has 12ms low latency through HDMI 2.1 port and 240Hz refresh rate. For comparison, most TVs have about 40ms latency. So, FENGMI V10 should be even better for console gaming than most smart TVs.

Formovie V10 supports at most 140HZ refresh rate and a low input lag of 12ms, which is a good option for playing games. Audio The same qualities carried over when I watched It, a movie with Dolby Vision HDR. (When a Dolby Vision source is detected, the Theater displays a logo on-screen to let you know you’re getting the real thing.) Shadows in the early scene in the slaughterhouse had good depth and detail, and later shots showed an impressive range of period-specific colors in the movie’s sets. Another notable product shown was the Formovie V10 which is a 4K UHD gaming projector. Due to its design and feature set, the Formovie V10 was selected as a CES 2023 Innovation Award honoree.Watching the movie Oblivion, the Theater displayed accurate skin tones, and the image had a punchy quality that indicated it had a good contrast ratio. Detail was excellent and there were no signs of automatic enhancement in Movie mode that made pictures look unnaturally crisp. Like the previous model, the JVC LX-NZ3 the new model supports both HDR10 and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and includes horizontal and vertical lens shift for enhanced installation flexibility. Another manufacturer exhibiting their product assortment was Formovie. Formovie Technology is a joint venture between Appotronics, the maker of the projection industry’s most popular laser light source technologies and Xiaomi Technology. Hisense had a full range of new projectors on display at CES, including an 8K and several 4K ultra short throw models plus a new laser-driven portable. The one that caught my eye was the L9H TriChroma Laser TV, no doubt due to its triple-laser light engine with exceptional brightness (3,000 ANSI lumens). Like the AWOL UST model, the L9H is specced to deliver 107% coverage of the Rec.2020 color space and features Dolby Vision high dynamic range support out of the box.

Front-panel indicator LEDs let you know remote control commands are being received. (Image credit: Future)Just off the main Hisense booth was a dark space housing another impressive ultra short throw projector demo, this one by renowned German camera maker Leica. The company’s new Cine 1 Laser TV is a collaboration with Hisense, and like the Hisense L9H, is a triple-laser model, but one with 2,500 lumens light output. Also like the Hisense it features the Google TV smart interface, has a built-in TV tuner (though one that’s not ATSC 3.0-capable), and comes with 100- or 120-inch screen options. You can see the Formovie V10 outperforms the XGIMI Horizon Pro in basically every category for half the MSRP, and even less than the lowest street price I’ve ever seen for the Horizon Pro. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to know the exact conditions and equipment that each manufacturer uses in their testing, so the best I can do is make sure my own methods stay standardized throughout all of my testing, and when I measured the Formovie V10’s brightness I came up with just 1391 ANSI lumens, which is only 55% of its advertised brightness. The brightness of Fengmi V10 reaches 2500ANSI lumens, and it is not only clear and bright in the state of being cast on the wall during the day, but also there is no phenomenon of graying and whitening of the picture due to the decrease of contrast. Formovie V10 has a 118% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, supports 1.07 billion colors, and the color transition is real and natural.
