About this deal

I'm happy to report 'The Avengers' generally meets those expectations, though there are a few flaws. This is a character-first movie and, even in the biggest moments, you know what our heroes (and villains) are saying. D. must act swiftly to form The Avengers, a team of superhero defenders, when Earth comes under attack from Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his alien army. LFE is subtle at times, but roars when needed, shaking the room with every weapon-fire, explosion, or burst of alien-energy. The overall color palette ranges from dark and brooding to bright and engaging, perfect for high definition displays.

I much prefer when the LFE channel is used sparingly, as most of our systems these days don't actually need to roll off everything below 80hz for the sub anyway. There's literally something for everyone in Joss Whedon's epic collaboration of superhero awesomeness. D), which was co-founded by Iron Man's father Howard Stark, has been preparing for such a cataclysmic event. Will usually dispatch within same working day if paid before 03:00 GMT (excludes weekends and holidays). The Avengers', whether or not you're watching it in two or three dimensions, is a thunderous example of modern blockbuster surround sound. Perhaps its because I've seen her play broad comedy, though she often has touching dramatic scenes on her show, but I don't believe her in this role, and she's slightly distracting at first.

Despite the common enemy and Captain America's noble leadership, they're all huge personalities with different fears and goals and desires. Every time a superhero film arrives that doesn't instantaneously leap tall buildings in a single bound ( Green Lantern, anyone? And while its Blu-ray success is guaranteed (so much so that Marvel didn't even care if High-Def Digest reviewed the film) after becoming the third highest grossing movie of all time, earlier this year I was pretty skeptical.

In summary, 'The Avengers' earns a full 5-stars for a reference quality Blu-ray presentation, while the 3D experience is a very strong 4-stars (4. The general dimness, exacerbated by the darkening effect of 3D glasses, not only meant that shadow details were quite hard to make out on screen, but also robbed the picture of some much-needed 3D depth (save for the brighter Tesseract cube). The stand out moment has to be Conie Smulders who plays Agent Maria Hill lamenting a colleagues death.

This exciting puzzle ball features all of the main characters; Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Ant Man, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, Dr. Between air vehicles whooshing in and out of our view, and laser beams, arrows and rubbles flying everywhere, there were enough pop-out effects every minute to elicit oohs and aahs from even the fiercest 3D sceptic. While we don't want blur while watching a 3D movie with glasses on, consistent blur when taking the glasses off, you know to wipe the tears off your face during particularly sentimental scenes or whatever, is a good thing. For comparison, around 4% of parents and 3% of general audiences cited 3D as the reason to see a film. e. none of the footage was actually shot natively in the third dimension using stereoscopic techniques.
