About this deal

One of the best songs of the album is ,,Thy Kingdom Come’’, a rocking tune where Vinny Burns gets the room to show his ability. Dare is an English rock band from Oldham, fronted by former Thin Lizzy keyboard player Darren Wharton. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The lineup for the album remained unchanged from the preceding releases, consisting of Wharton, Burns, Whitehead and Clutterbuck, with Marc Roberts once again handling keyboard duties on the supporting tour.

With a backing track providing the sound of a waterfall, the thunderous strobe lighting on stage gives the thunder effect. Wharton sings of youth and how life can chip away at your dreams, while Burns rips out his finest, and longest solo, tangled and twisted ever roaring in defiance as vocal refrains repeat in ascension, the rhythm section beating down hard underneath to reinforce the message as a final guitar solo takes the record to its conclusion. Darren Wharton’s lead vocals are strong and smooth with a presence that sits perfectly at the center of the mix. Radio, Sundays at 22:00 GMT, repeated on Mondays and Fridays), when he invites listeners to ‘Assume The Position’.The track is filled with big drum sounds and gold-standard Les Paul tones, as nature intended great rock songs to be, and will send you scurrying for your controls to immediately turn it up and play it again. Wharton has since commented on the emergence of this sound, stating, "I think that was mainly a part of my Thin Lizzy roots. I wonder if Professor Brian Cox still listens to this very talented band that he was part of in the early days? On 8 October an initial date for 2022 was announced (Chester Live Rooms; 4 March), with additional dates to follow.

Well-produced melodic rock with a Celtic tinge, and slightly cliched lyrics - it's not particularly challenging to listen to, but is very pleasant nonetheless. In fact, the longer I listen to this album, the more it sounds like a janglier, subtly folk infused version of Magnum and it's that folk angle, which isn't a huge one, that delineates them. The lighting is red for most of the set and for some reason it resonates with Troy’s latest album artwork ‘Wings Of Salvation. In a Christmas wishes post to fans on Dare's official Facebook page, on 24 December 2020 Wharton commented that the band would "hopefully see you all next year [2021] with our brand new album". He has this melodic silky voice, very accessible and very recognisable, but Darren is not a man who wants or needs to demonstrate power and a big reach.Born in the Storm is a Magnum-esque opener, and it's a peach too, but Cradle to the Grave sounds folkier, because of the way the vocal line unfolds. I saw this band way back in 1992 when they supported Mr Tempest and the boys on the OOTW tour at the fleahouse in Edinburgh to promote their Out of the Silence 1Tour. With a brand-new album ‘Road To Eden’ singer/keyboardist Darren Wharton and his band Dare give the rock world a welcome sign of life.

The UK leg was announced on 10 January and consisted of 12 headlining shows, kicking off in Leeds on 6 October and concluding in Newbury on 29 October. T. Festival in Germany (15 April), the Rocknytt Cruise in Sweden (21-22 April), and a 12-date co-headline UK tour with FM and Tyketto. The Devil Rides Tonight’ is another big one here – again a track with a little more fire it sizzles as it shoots off down the highway. Road To Eden’ opens in superb fashion with ‘Born In The Storm’ and releasing it as the lead off single makes a real statement as it boasts a strong riff and vintage solo from Vinny Burns and is pitched in musical terms somewhere between the first two albums. BAND LINE-UP: DARREN WHARTON-VOCALS, KEYBOARDS / VINNY BURNS-GUITARS / NIGEL CLUTTERBUCK-BASS GUITAR / KEV WHITEHEAD-DRUMS / MARC ROBERTS-KEYBOARDS.

While they rock, they also have an oddly soothing sound to them which is very refreshing to listen to. If you love your melodic rock on the lighter side and relish an album that doesn’t put a foot wrong then this is it – it’s stunning, it’s beautiful and for my money Darren’s best so far in a career full of great records. The lineup consisted of Darren Wharton (vocals/keyboards), Vinny Burns (guitars), Martin "Shelley" Shelton (bass), James Ross (drums), and Brian Cox ( keyboards).

THRASH - Between hardcore and death metal, Cage Fight is the fruit of the fierce collaboration between the former singer of Eths and the guitarist of TesseracT, furious, catchy, brutal and sharp. By this time, Vinny Burns, Brian Cox and Nigel Clutterbuck had all departed; instead, the band now consisted of Andrew Moore on guitars, Martin Wilding on bass and Julian Gardner on drums, with "additional musicians" Kevin Whitehead on drums and Richard Dews on acoustic guitar and backing vocals.Multiplying the luminous soli ('The Devil Rides Tonight'), Vinnie Burns also does not hesitate to pay homage to another national legend in the person of The Edge ( U2) of which he sometimes takes the gimmick which made his reputation during some introductions ('Cradle To The Grave', 'Road To Eden'). un grande ritorno per la band di darren wharton, ex thin lizzy, un ritorno ancora piu hard che nei precedenti, con il ritorno del immaginifico vinny burns alla guitar, il suono si è tramutato in hard celtico. But the thing about Dare is that the 2022 vintage might just be even better than the band that we had back in 1988.
