Their latest album Formula of Love: O+T = <3, was released earlier this year to critical acclaim, and quickly became a fan favorite with millions of streams worldwide.

It debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 with 66,000 album-equivalent units, becoming the group's fourth and highest entry on the chart. The album became Twice's highest-charting album in the US and Canada to date, peaking at numbers 3 [45] and 17 [46] on the Billboard 200 and the Canadian Albums Chart, respectively. AllMusic's David Crone concluded his review by saying the album is Twice's best release to date and that it "surpasses expectations, infusing the group's love-centric lyricism with newfound confidence and creative flair.
