I bought this for a mothercare travel cot as I have my granddaughter overnight quite often but travel cots don’t really have the most comfort bases. The bassinet also converts during the day into a change table so there’s no need for separate changing equipment, which is pretty handy!

For newborns to three months there is an added bassinet feature in case they feel a bit abandoned in the wide open spaces of the big cot.All of our foam core and coir core nursery mattresses comply with the construction requirements of BS 1877 Part 10. You can use it from newborn right through to the toddler years, and it doesn’t take up too much space. The bassinet is designed for new babies and is suitable for a certain weight and i believe it to be comfortable based on the light weight of a new baby. It offers a removable bassinet for infants, integrated changing station with wipe-clean fabric, hanging toy bar with toys, detachable control box for night light, music and vibration for the ultimate experience in travel. The mattress pad is also quite hard – as is the case with most travel cots to be fair – and more sensitive babies, like my 15-month-old Joshua who has a bad case of the Princess and the Pea, may need extra blankets laid down to soften their landing.
