About this deal

Your apps are clearly laid out in the tile feeds, and you’ll also be able to see a list of recommendations. It has excellent contrast and a good full array local dimming feature, so it looks amazing in a dark room, even if it's not as good as the Mini LED backlight on the higher-end Hisense. These smaller models have fewer dimming zones and lower peak brightness than the 110" but are still advertised to be brighter and have more dimming zones than any other TV on the market. Furthermore, in some ways, it's even better for gaming than the more expensive Hisense due to the U7K's faster overall response time. This TV is better suited to normal living room viewing conditions with some ambient lighting, or bias lighting, where these issues are not as noticeable.

Most notably, this model doesn't have local dimming to enhance its contrast and is dimmer than the more expensive alternative. The TV is equipped with the latest Dolby Vision technology, which uses all the intelligent power of the processor to provide a perfect picture in a room with any lighting at any time of viewing. VIDAA U boasts a very clean interface, helped by the fact it uses a dedicated home page, rather than an icon overlay in the manner of Panasonic’s My Home Screen or LG’s webOS.In dim viewing conditions, the black levels were satisfactory but with some noticeable lighter edges to the panel and even if slightly off-axis these black started to look milky and navy, losing the deep black look. It’s not overly slow, has all the apps you’d expect including Netflix, Youtube, Plex and the rest, most of what a ROKU can do but built in. features such as eARC and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), plus, Hisense claim VRR support at 48-60Hz, but we were unable to confirm this works via testing.

In the Hisense 55E7HQ 4K HDR TV review, we’ll take a look at all the new features to see if it’s worth choosing.

However, it still supports Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10+ formats, as well as advanced DTS audio formats, so you can take full advantage of whatever content you're watching. While the mid-range drivers are limited in their range of frequencies, they’re also entirely innocuous. If you're looking for the cheapest Hisense TV on the market, you're in luck as they have a fantastic cheap model, the Hisense A6/A65K.
