Not enough women know how our hormones and menstrual cycle influence fat loss and muscle strength, which can lead to a lot of disappointment and frustration. But, there was a flippancy and disregard of reality in just a few areas of the book that made me wary. James’ bestselling books, ‘ Not a Diet Book’ and ‘ Not a Life Coach’ are published by Harper Collins. The book didn't advise me on ways of how to do this because James knows it would be a fruitless exercise, but he does instill a confidence in you to build a plan and a framework to start this, and to knuckle down and wait for the results.

You will come away from this book with a LOT more information, a much improved fitness industry Bullshit Detector, and a more positive outlook on your prospects for achieving and maintaining a lifestyle that works for you. I cannot stress enough how good this book is at breaking down the sheer magnitude of misinformation and deception within the health and fitness industry. This is why I follow him and happily bought a book that rehashed so much of what I already knew, and why I highly recommend his program to all of the people.

Here's the thing about WW - they don't want you to know the actual nutritional value of foods, or that what they are essentially doing with their complicated hocus pocus is creating a calorie deficit you could do on your own. Track your calories, (but not on holiday) eat enough protein and don’t stress if you over eat or have a calorie dense meal or a wild bender of a weekend because “one hot day doesn’t make a summer”. It was one of two hardbacks in the Most-Sold: Fiction list, the other being Charlie Mackesy's The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse (Ebury).

A fantastic book for inspiration and motivation when it comes to fitness, food, females and fat loss. He wants you to join his program (or don't, you can learn a lot from him for free on social media), learn as much as you want or need, and then go on about your life without a recurring bill showing up on your credit card each and every month until you die. I'm sure you are very good at your job in health and fitness your just not the kind of person that would in any way motivate or inspire me. Also strange how in Feb '22 he had 900k followers then bang when he was about to appear in TV he had 1m followers in May '22 growth if 100k in less than 2 months.

I have a strong dislike for dieting having watched my mum beat herself up for not being “perfect” and falling off the diet wagon.
