Men creator Roger Hargreaves) has written and illustrated a whole 12-book, Mr Men-style series based on the adventures of the 12 different Doctors -- right through from William Hartnell to Peter Capaldi.
The first four books in the series area are available from, Tuesday, 25 April, and the rest will be released throughout the year. Spring 2017 will see four books in a new range which sees the Doctor’s regenerations imagined in the style of Roger Hargreaves, creator of the Mr. I’m just saying will a thirteen figure be a Doctor Who Little Miss Figure rather than a Doctor Who Mr Men Figure? Dr Thirteenth sees Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor reimagined in the trademark Hargreaves style as oval-shaped and yellow, complete with blonde hair, earring, striped socks and boots.In the Eighties, they teamed up with the Sea Devils for the Fifth Doctor tale, Warriors From the Deep. It combines familiar elements of the television series (such as some Sontarans, and Graham affectionately referring to her as ‘Doc’) with the whimsical wit of the original Mr Men stories. Mr Men publishers Sanrio Global and the BBC have just announced a collaboration that is sure to excited fans of the series. Nevertheless, I’d love to see Hargreaves‘ take on some of the characters and creatures the Thirteenth Doctor has encountered so far – perhaps a Mr Men T’zim Sha or a Mr Men Pting?
This latest Doctor Who/Mr Men book follows the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, and Ryan as they try to put together a fun birthday surprise for Yaz. Its just I would like to upload a picture on my doctor who social media account, and it says not to copy. Well I have a tame 11 year old Who fan and she loves the Little Miss books so hopefully a Dr Thirteen figure will follow at some point under the Little Miss branding and style to tie in with this current Mr Men range. In recent times, the Eleventh Doctor befriended Silurian Madame Vastra who described herself as a “lizard from the dawn of time”!Current showrunner Steven Moffat is the man behind perhaps Doctor Who’s scariest monsters EVER – the Weeping Angels. In Dr Twelfth (that’ll be Capaldi), the running joke as the Doctor chases Missy across time on an epic jewel robbery is her exasperation at his lack of interest in being walked through every detail of her “dastardly crime” – the Master/Missy character has always loved showing off the latest elaborate plan to enslave the universe. These storybook mash-ups, written and illustrated by Adam Hargreaves, combine the iconic storytelling of Doctor Who with the whimsical humour and design made famous by his father, Roger Hargreaves.
Reading with Haylee: This was her second choice and I think she also liked that Dr Twelfth had the sunglasses, but I don’t think she enjoyed this one as much. Forty five years later, Adam is still entrenched in the world he inadvertently caused to be created. I’ve never watched the original series, but I did see William Hartnell in the tenth anniversary episodes with Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee. The renegade Time Lord, once a friend of the Doctor, has made many memorable appearances over the decades in the show.Dr Thirteenth (along with the previous twelve instalments) is perfect for all ages, whether you’re an older fan looking for a bit of childhood nostalgia, or if you’re after a Christmas present for the younger Doctor Who fans in your life. Then seven years old, the curious young boy asked the kind of question young boys often ask: “Daddy, what does a tickle look like? Over all these books were adorable and I believe they’re a good introduction to the world of Doctor Who for any young reader.
