The gravel doesn't have to be perfectly clean, but a hose to clean away the worst of it would be a good idea. If you’re using existing stones, try to remove any dirt or debris prior to application, and leave them to dry before applying Easihold. I ended up using an old bucket and I used red solo cups to measure out the mixture (one solo cup of glue to two solo cups of water). I’m not sure if it will keep weeds from coming in (they always seem to find a way), so I’ll keep you posted if they do pop on through the pea gravel. I think this will definitely keep our neighbor’s sidewalk clean and he won’t have to sweep any gravel off anymore.

Even larger stones can be bonded if clean and angular, but we wouldn't recommend for any foot traffic. Try forming an air plant wreath, hanging mobile, or a beach-themed terrarium that plays off their resemblance to an octopus.The mixing method leaves the strongest finish - guaranteeing the stones are evenly coated throughout.

If your air plant feels mushy, has dark spots on the base, or is starting to fall apart, it may be suffering from rot due to sitting in water for hours (instead of the recommended 30 minutes) during the weekly soak. The stones you use don’t have to be dry upon purchase, but we do recommend washing and letting them dry before use, as some new stones can arrive with a silty deposit. For my second coat, I ended up going a bit thicker with my application to ensure that every single rock was covered with mulch glue.Because no sub base is required this saves alot of time, effort and money, making our system cheaper and more practical than a typical resin bound installation.
