The book was more revealing than I expected but that might be more to do with not really knowing much about Nile other than him being a ridiculously talented athlete. These chapters give a 'cards on the table', raw and gritty insight into his personal battles and the hard-truths about the sport, seemingly filling in the blanks from his life lived online. This book really tackles a lot of the issues that come with being an elite level athlete and the pressures it has and the tolls it takes. The public perception of Nile Wilson is focused on his humor, openness, and how down-to-earth he is.

We have some very talented people working throughout our organisation and the months and years ahead will be hugely exciting. Nile has his own merchandise range and is deeply passionate about getting youngsters into gymnastics. With My Story, Nile takes the reader though his celebrated career as he shares his brutal training regimens, his battles with addiction as well as his struggles with mental health that unfortunately goes hand-in-hand with being an elite level athlete. In 2016, he won bronze at the Rio Olympics and is tipped to win gold at the next World Championships and Olympics. I am so grateful to have had my wish granted for this book because Nile Wilson - My Story is a great read from start to finish.As Nile’s father, I have obviously walked almost every step with Nile so far in his career, so gymnastics is in my blood as much as it is his. I got that and a lot of "I'm the best thing that's ever happened to gymnastics", which started to get annoying. We also believe we can make your local gymnastics club a centre for your family’s recreational time during any week. My main criticism of the book was the writing style, the language was really clunky and I struggled to imagine Nile reading it aloud. I am thrilled at the opportunity to work with everybody at Nile Wilson Gymnastics, we have an incredible team of people behind it and are so excited about the future.

I knew a bit of Wilson's story from following him on Youtube so I did find it interesting to learn more about things I had just heard a little bit about. Wilson, a British Olympic medalist, would gather his friends and family and shoot videos of them competing in various gymnastics-based challenges in a variety of environments.We also use them to help detect unauthorized access or activity that violate our terms of service, as well as to analyze site traffic and performance for our own site improvement efforts.
