About this deal

The card art is nice and the bespoke dice are great. Nothing overly special here but perfectly serviceable. 2/5 You cannot use this ability if you lose a life point to Indian or Dynamite, only for , , or Gatling Guns. You may not use this ability to take the last arrow remaining in the pile. With that said we still enjoyed the time we played because of one fun element, the character cards and the unique abilities they had. That is the saving grace of 3 player games, hoping to get a character with an ability that will save you, like turning damage into arrows or being able to roll a 4th time. Choose the player next to you on your left or right. That player loses one life point. If it is a “1” you chose someone one spot away and if it is a “2” you choose a player two spots away.

I have never played the original bang but I read a lot about how this is the simplified version of itself and I’m actually glad that I played this one first just to try it out with people who have never played it. It's a fast paced game, especially once you know how to play. However this is a player elimination game, and it's not unheard of for someone to go out in the 1st round! Thankfully the game length is short, so this wouldn't be a major problem, and it is definitely fun to play.Dice rolling! Hidden identities! Character abilities! Bang! The Dice Game has so many appealing qualities, you should just go ahead and git yer mits on a copy! Let’s dig down a bit and work out why. I’m going to refer to the game as Bang throughout from this point, even though there is another game that is actually called Bang and this is its dice version. So bear that in mind. range 1 and 2 shots. Must be used to only target people at that range. So a range 2 must be someone two spaces from you unless you are on the final 3 people. Bull’s-eye: With numerals one or two in them, they allow you to shoot the player one or two spaces to your left or right. Bang! They lose a life point (Bullet token). Bang, Bang!

Choose any player: he gains one life point. You may choose yourself. You can never have more life points than the number you had at the beginning of the game. If you choose a player with his maximum life points, this result is wasted. The game ends immediately if the Sheriff is eliminated or all the Outlaws and Renegades are eliminated. If the Sheriff is eliminated and the Renegade is the only one alive, the Renegade wins. Otherwise, the Outlaws win. If all the Outlaws and Renegades are eliminated the Sheriff and the Deputies win. Thoughts from the Wild West On a turn players each roll the dice and keep or re-roll any of the results. Players can roll three times total. However, any dice rolled on the third try must be kept. Then you just read the results… like this: I also love how they kept this game simple to dice, health points, arrows and character cards. That’s all you need and it is a game that has just the right amount of components to make for a very dynamic and fun gameplay experience. At every player count the mixture of role cards changes, and slightly shifts the balance of the teams. This combined with 16 different character cards to choose from keeps the game interesting over multiple plays. We have found that at an odd number of players (5 for example) the Outlaws have a greater challenge. This is because the Renegades, Sheriff and Deputies tend to work together at least early in the game leaving the Outlaws outnumbered by 1. Each player is given a character card which has a special ability, like getting an extra health for Beers, or using the Gatling Gun with only 2 symbols. These also determine what your starting and maximum life total are.

You have 3 re roll for these 5 Bang dices each turn, and the result shows actions you can take, and possible penalties you have to suffer. The character cards may affect these results or number of re rolls. If you're a fan of Bang the Dice Game and play it a lot then this is an excellent expansion. What the expansion adds is 4 modules that change the game in different ways (it says 5 but really it's 4 as the 5th is just a few new characters). Bang! The Dice Game, by DV Giochi, keeps the some of the core elements of Bang! Each player starts off being dealt a hidden role, with the Sheriff revealing themselves at the start of the game. Players will either be the Sheriff, a Deputy, an Outlaw or a Renegade. The aim of the game is for the Sheriff and the Deputies to kill the Outlaws. The Outlaws win by killing the Sheriff and the Renegade must be the last man standing. Bang' is an absolutely fantastic game for 3-8 players that plays in about 15 minutes, making it a great way to start an evening off or fill a bit of space. Each game has you fulfilling secret roles, forming alliances, gambling and duelling with the other people around the table in what is a fast and fun game every time.

Dynamite:Cannot be re-rolled. If you roll three or more dynamite your turn ends, and you lose one life Once you have resolved all your dice by choice or by running out of re-rolls, your turn is over. Pass the dice to the player to the left to repeat the play steps. If a player has been eliminated, they are skipped over, they do not get to participate anymore.
