About this deal

For the price I paid and the number of accessories the manufacturer had provided, I felt they could have included a stand too. I was not happy to be spending a significant amount to buy a stand to use this product, even though I had a number of options to choose from depending on my requirement. The most commendable features were the easy-to-adjust pro-modular guard and the power reset switch to prevent accidental blade restarts. Apart from this, I will let you know what features attracted me and the few aspects of this product that let me down. If you’re not sure who this product was designed for, I will let you know the people for whom this saw is a perfect verdict.

The winner of the battle between DeWalt DWE7485 vs 7492 finally comes out – DWE7492 . This tool offers an industry-leading ripping capacity, supporting you in many kinds of woodwork. Replacing metal with plastic makes a lot of sense considering this product was designed to be lightweight and portable. However, it made the product feel a lot less premium. However, the place where I felt the plastic worked most against the product was the work table.

DEWALT reserves the right to refuse any claim under this guarantee which in the opinion of the authorised repair agent is not due to material or manufacturing defect or in accordance with the stated DEWALT European PT Guarantee terms and conditions. Both come with extended feet for more stability during operation. Besides, compared to DWE7492, with a weight of 58,4 lbs, DWE7485 is rather lightweight and compact (~53,3 lbs), which is ideal for mobile contractors. This model deserves the winner in design. The DWE7485 has a 2 1/2 inch dust port which will fit many shop vacs such as my Bosch shop vac VAC140A dust extractor; if you need to source a conversion kit to fit shouldn’t be difficult. Though you do need to keep an eye on the hose to make sure that it doesn’t interfere with the riving knife. The table saw uses a rip fence to keep lumber aligned and straight during the cut. Both circular and miter saws need alignment with each pass and stops for repeated cuts. Saw guides can be time-consuming to set up for additional cuts, while a table saw can make the same cut again and again. After all the features I have listed out, you might think I spent a fortune buying this saw. However, I myself was surprised at the bargain I got while buying it. This table saw is very competitively priced, considering the great facilities and features offered to the customer.

It has a dust port that measures 2 1/2-inches. That will fit many shop vacs, and you should be able to source a conversion kit that will fit it if necessary. Keep an eye on the hose as it can interfere with the riving knives if it is pulled too tightly. This DEWALT DWE7485 review has provided you with an overview of this compact model. I hope its comparison to other similar table saws helped you decide if this is the tool for you.. The only downside to using a smaller blade is that you will not be able to cut as deeply as you can with a larger blade. This product can reach a depth of cut 2 9/16-inches at 90-degrees and 1 3/4-inch at 45-degrees. That will still allow you to make up to a 45-degree bevel in two-by-four framing lumber. The basic features that most table saws offer include storage facilities for tools as well as dust chutes and ports that assist in chip collection while cutting through materials. Personal woodshops can also benefit from a table saw that is easy to move. Small shops with limited space need to have power tools that can move. Adjusting the bevel of the blade is simple thanks to the easy-adjust miter gauge, which works in increments of 1-degrees; towards the table top on the right of the miter gauge is a micro-adjustment knob, which allows you to make those micro-adjustments to your bevel angle.
