The articulation on this figure is very different than Classics Starscream. Perhaps the most clear examples are the head (which is separate from the nosecone) and the ankle tilts. Starscream is known to have come with either pale grey missiles, better fitting his new color scheme, or bright green missiles like Skyquake's. For the null rays, sure ER is closer to the G1 model. Since every other part of SS's body is different in Cybertron form, I don't see why the guns can't look a bit different, too. I think the aesthetics of the sculpts work well for their respective toys, and it doesn't influence me one way or the other.
DISCOVER EARTHRISE: The siege is over, but the War for Cybertron has just begun. The Autobots and Decepticons have left Cybertron, but their battle rages on as they speed through space in pursuit of the AllsparkSince the sculpt borrows heavily from Classics Starscream's engineering, a lot of the robot mode parts wind up forming undercarriage junk. This cannot be helped (without likely a bunch of more hinges and panels involved) but I was very surprised that the designers did not include any kind of landing gear. Even the Classics Starscream had small landing gear swinging out from the sides of the turbines on his chest. This figure does not have anything like that so he just winds up landing on his torso plate. WFC-GS10 Soundwave Spy Patrol 3rd Unit ( Decepticon Wingthing, Decepticon Frenzy, Decepticon Skar& Autobot/Decepticon Knok) The figure was reissued once more, this time in Japan, in April 2017 along with several other toys in the line to coincide with the release of the then upcoming MP36 Megatron and features a "Good design award" mark on the box. I do prefer the proportions of the forearms (but ER has better proportions to the shoulders and biceps) and the hips are way better. I don't know why they did that stupid flappy skirt on ER.
Push the section with the front treads down towards the rear treads. Each tread has a tab on it that clips into a corresponding slot on Megatron's torso. Walmart once again reissued the original Starscream toy in 2023 under the Transformers Retro label. Unlike the Vintage G1 release, however, Retro Starscream has been redecoed in colors inspired by his appearance in the original Transformers animated series, more specifically The Transformers: The Movie. He remains a mash-up of the Commemorative Series and The Transformers Collection reissues, with the former's elongated null rays and cluster bombs and the latter's gun mode Megatron accessory. Like Gentei Ghost Starscream, Masterpiece Ghost Starscream is cast in light purple translucent plastic instead of just colorless clear plastic like the G1 Ghost Starscream figure. Hasbro PulseCon 2020 revealed a poster that shows off what was possibly an early version of the Kingdom line. Of note, the poster features a very different robot mode for Ractonite compared to the actual toy and a mostly purple Vertebreak, as well as two unique Fossilizers (a Smilodon and a crocodilian of some kind) that didn't appear anywhere else. Gears and Polar Claw, two characters not included in the actual line, are also present in the artwork. At least one copy features a factory misassembled figure with a newly tooled head sculpt [3] (with his expression being based on him being disintegrated by Galvatron in The Transformers: The Movie) which was meant for Skywarp.Accessories: Left & right fists, 2 missile launchers, 2 missiles, 2 "Machine Guns", left & right wings, left & right rudders, left & right tail fins, landing gear Walmart once again reissued the original Skywarp toy (or is it a recolor of Starscream from the same line?) in 2023 under the Transformers Retro label. Both this release and all subsequent releases of the mold have a missing molded panel-line detail on the right wing hinge that is supposed to curve in towards the body of the jet. The reason for this missing detail is likely due to it missing from the metal mold itself. Robotmasters Skywarp is a redeco of Starscream from the same series, a re-imagining of the original Generation 1 figure, retaining its basic transformation scheme, but designed to be closer to the animation model, with greater articulation and integrated parts that do not require detachment during transformation. The only pieces that now need to be removed are Skywarp's rifles, which move from his wings to his arms. He has three peg-holes on each arm, allowing the rifles to be mounted on his shoulders, on his forearms, or in his fists. These holes are also designed to accommodate the generic spring-loaded missile launcher weapon included with Robotmasters G1 Convoy, Beast Convoy and Beast Megatron.
