The whole thing just has a really nice feel to it - the way the ball slowly glides through the tubes is almost magic, and if you manage to get the ball to fall through cleanly without touching the sides, it really feels special. There's actually a simple explanation for this gravity-defying effect. The little pinball is a piece of neodymium: a rare Earth metal with a very powerful magnetic force. Depending on the Feel Flux model, the cylinder is made of copper, aluminum, or pure silver. When the ball falls through the cylinder, the moving magnetic field changes inside the conductive material, based on a principle called Lenz's Law. This creates a voltage known as electromotive force that produces an additional magnetic field that resists the first one. This is why the ball slows down inside of the cylinder. It's obviously a bit more expensive than your generic fidget gadget and although you can find some good videos of it online, I still wasn't 100% sure exactly how the product would feel and react. The product itself is really high quality, with two nice weighty metal tubes with the nice leather wrap-around with the embossed detailing. The magnetic ball has a really good weight to it too.
