The aim of Tell Me is quite similar, but less involved. A question master turns over a card and reads from it what the other players have to name. This could be a country, a colour or a film star for instance. He or she then spins the spinner and the first player to shout out something that fits and starts with the letter the spinner stops on wins the card. At the end of the game the player with the most cards wins. Incredibly straight-forward and easy to play with any number of people from 3 (including the quiz master) upwards.

Outside of Don’t Nod’s efforts here, the video game industry isn’t giving as much support to trans people as it could. Yes, of course Tyler should immediately be accepted, no questions asked, but unfortunately there do exist close-minded viewpoints in the world. You really feel for Tyler in the moments his validity is questioned, but he’s assertive and firm in his responses (even where the player is given a choice). Tell Me Why takes solace in the smaller, more personal glimpses into the lives of its characters. You’ll often be greeted with the opportunity to simply sit down next to someone and see how they’re doing, delving into the ongoing events and seeing how they’re affected. Given how the main narrative delves into mental health and emotional trauma in some fairly harrowing yet well-handled ways, it’s a relief to stew in such brief moments of solitude. Like Life is Strange, Tell Me Why’s narrative is delivered over a number of chapters. This time, though, there’s only three, and they’ll be made available with only a week in between them.
