The correct orientation of the GreenGuard muzzle is 3 slots to the front and 5 slots to each side. The front of the muzzle has a "greenguard" logo. Note that the muzzle is not symmetrical; if the muzzle is fitted sideways, your horse may not be able to fully open their mouth.

What is undeniable is that horses in grazing muzzles get more exercise than horses in stalls or in dry lots. A turned-out, muzzled horse gets less grass and more exercise, both of which contribute to weight management. This non-slip nylon muzzle from Hy has additional fleece padding on the inside to prevent rubbing. It features a rubber base, a double hook and loop fastener on the headpiece, a clip throat lash and a leadrope ring. Also available without fleece. Adjust the straps so that the bottom of the GreenGuard muzzle is parallel to the ground when your horse is grazing.
