About this deal

If this technology is in the D810 replacement and it's fitted with the new af system, this is going to be a very 3 pensive year for me D500 plus D820. I plan on getting a D500 next month at the end of my busy season. Never though I would ever seek out another AP-C camera but..... Ich freue mich natürlich über den Vorteil eine längere Einsatzzeit der Kamera nutzen zu können, obwohl dies alleine kein Kaufgrund gewesen wäre. The Nikon D500 is not related to Nikon’s D600, D700, or D800 series, which are all full-frame DSLRs targeted toward different audiences. Nikon D500 vs D7500 You can't change any of the camera settings from the app, and when you are remotely shooting, you can't change the settings on the camera either, which is a little frustrating. The app could definitely do with some improvement, especially when compared to other manufacturers remote shooting apps. There's an option on the camera that will automatically send photos to your smartphone once you've set up the connection, and there is an option to leave this transferring images when you've switched the camera off. This feature can be switched on and off, and if you're concerned about your battery life dropping, then you can switch on the Airplane mode, which will switch off all communications. Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

Um an den in der Kamera befindlichen Akku zu gelangen, ist immer der Batteriegriff abzuschrauben. Das nervt natürlich! Image quality is quite good, with accurate colors and exposures. Detail capture is better than expected. Keep in mind, though, that 4K recording uses only part of the sensor. Add that crop factor to the camera’s APS-C 1.5x native crop and you need to figure in a little more than a total of 2x crop when choosing a lens. For example, a 14mm lens will deliver the same field of view as a 28mm lens, which may or may not be wide enough for the shot you planned. Nikon D300s:Announced 2009. 12 megapixels, 7 FPS (8 with grip), 51 autofocus points. First camera in the series to have videoFor my photography, I consider vertical grips essential and shooting the D500 vertically without one is something I find to be quite awkward to the point where I shoot less verticals, which is not a good thing. Equipment should not dictate the kind of pictures taken. So the MB-D17 goes on and stays there. As a bonus, you can load an extra battery to help with “range anxiety”. Having to remove the vertical grip to get at the in-body battery is a small annoyance that comes with using the accessory grip. I always set the camera to use the MB-D17 battery first which often means at the end of the day there is no need to remove the primary battery for charging. Recommended Camera and Menu Settings The Nikon D500 is weather sealed and feels extremely well built, with a good sized handgrip and ample rubber covering to provide a gripped surface to make sure you have a firm hold of the camera. There is a metal chassis, with the top of the camera made from magnesium alloy, and the rest of the camera is made from strong plastic, with some carbon fibre parts. Regardless of what each part is made from, the camera feels very solid with no flex or movement visible. All of the joints, buttons and dials are fully weather sealed, including the battery and memory compartments. Despite the solid construction, the D500 isn't the heaviest APS-C DSLR weighing 760g body only, with the title of heaviest APS-C DSLR going to the Canon EOS 7D Mark II, at 910g. No compatibility issues with either Nikon batteries or camera functions. It even has a slot in the standard battery tray for the external power adapter (EP-B5) cable built-in!

If you’re encountering the Nikon D500 for the first time, what you need to know is that it’s a high-speed, advanced-tier camera mainly intended for sports and wildlife photographers. The Nikon D500 features low-power Bluetooth connectivity, to enable easy image transfer to a smartphone using Nikon's new SnapBridge software. On Android (and later iOS) devices, Nikon's SnapBridge software can be used to setup a connection to the smartphone, and then you can transfer images, shoot remotely, and add GPS information. With a compatible Android device you can also use NFC to connect the camera to the smartphone. Nikon D500 Handling The Nikon D500 is one of my all-time favorite Nikon DSLRs thanks to its excellent image quality and performance. Enthusiasts and even newcomers who want to step up to a higher end APS-C camera can do so thanks to its more affordable price. As for video, I mentioned the video because somebody else did regarding other brands. The fact remains, if you want it for video even the A7 III isn’t perfect. These are all high-speed Nikon DX cameras meant for sports and wildlife photographers. You can see that Nikon steadily improved the resolution, frame rate, and focus system of these cameras as time went by. The D100 through D300s are outdated cameras from 2009 and earlier, and we don’t recommend them any more. Nikon D500 + 500PF @ 500mm, ISO 450, 1/4000, f/5.6
