I found that if on a frozen food item it gave a cooking time for a normal fan over I set the Airfryer to three quarters of this and used the same temperature at a maximum of 200 oC and on most foods it worked well. Some foods need a lower temperature of course. Its useful when you try it and you find a setting that works to write it down for future use. Whilst alot claim to cook 1kg of chips in one go, think this is a bit ambious. You would need to keep taken them out and shaking them to ensure that they are evenly cooked!

I was surprised just how easy it was to start eating healthily. The electriQ air fryer really helped me get started as it meant I could cook my favourites, but with 80% less fat than more conventional cooking methods. The results were really tasty too! This particular model, I can cook two portions of frozen fish and chips, which is sufficient for my husband and I and that is one of the reasons I bought it. I found that with some foods, like coated foods, it was better to put one of those little foil dishes at the bottom of the main basket. I bought this item 5 months ago. Didn't rush to give an immediate review as wanted to put it through its paces first and see how it performed. I previously owned an airfryer, but a smaller size, so when I started searching for a larger one , I was already satisfied with the results that these kitchen aids produce, especially due to the fact that I could lose the deep fat chip pan, but not lose the similarity in taste. One thing I will advise to anyone buying it for the first time and that is experiment with different types of foods ,eg frozen chips. Different makes vary...it's not the fault of the airfryer, but the product you are using. As I said before its not a deep fat fryer or anywhere close and if you are expecting that deep fat fried food flavour you will not get it which is why some folk have been disappointed.

I am so much loving this machine! There is no oil, even the little bit that is in the product you are air frying is dripping off - the healthiest ever way of frying. I have done meetballs, pastry, fishfingers, fries, bacon, whatever you can imagine.
