About this deal

Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn't know is that the wife he's chosen is an assassin and the child he's adopted is a telepath! Overall, I had a such a fun time with this! 🥰🥰 Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a manga with: I've always wanted to read this, but the question is: why didn't I do so sooner? Not until the anime was released that I watched it and become head over heels with Twilight and Anya, just from the 20 minutes video and it's only been the first episode. A neat aspect that stood out in particular was the setting. Its vibe is something from the late ’60s to early ’70s; the world feels something akin to Europe and Russia during the Cold War. It’s all dripping in personality, having this undercurrent of paranoia and distrust where even not getting together with someone at a certain age seems suspicious. There’s a hard bent towards nationalism and elitism. Countries feel like they are on the brink of war and are looking for any edge over the other. It lends itself perfectly to this series, adding a lot to the characters and the kind of history they had to or still deal with.

Master spy Twilight is unparalleled when it comes to going undercover on dangerous missions for the betterment of the world. But when he receives the ultimate assignment—to get married and have a kid—he may finally be in over his head! Honestly, I really enjoy this book. I hope I can get my hands on the rest of the volumes because this book is so darn good! Such a great read! Read it again and its so good. Its the story of a spy who for an undercover mission gets a daughter and also a wife and then they have to get into this top private academy for his mission and so they practice what its like to be a top family and as they do that, they become a real family who care for each other and then the interview brings it out. What I like about the series is the comedy and the way it presents its characters and how they have their own secrets and particularly the comedic moments especially from Anya when she is reading minds and the art is just lovely and the women here look so gorgeous. I like how Loid is shown to be changing and it just makes you love the manga so much more! Anya is an orphan child, who was living in an orphanage until Twilight took her in as his daughter for the mission. Anya has the ability to read minds, that ability really makes her poor as much as it makes her wonderful and special. Anya is the cutest person in the story ever ahhhhh how cute and cheerful she is. A huge thank you to VIZ Media and Netgalley for the ARC of Spy x Family's first volume in exchange for an honest review.I really enjoyed this! 🤩🤩 I went in with high expectations, but this book definitely fulfilled them!! I had such a fun time reading it 🥰🥰

I read my first manga (The Promised Neverland) a couple months ago and really liked it, so I obviously wanted to try some more. This one seemed like an obvious choice, as its so popular. And now that I've read it, I definitely understand the hype ✨ The story plays with some well known tropes, such as the classic fake dating trope, but it flips it on its head by turning in into a fake family trope. It gets even more exciting when you remember that this is an action sci-fi manga, with a good dose of quality dialogue and great comedic timing. It makes everything so much more exciting to read about the three main characters, because one is a spy, one is an assassin, and the other is a telepathic child. It makes any situation that they're all in together so much more interesting. SPY x FAMILY (anime) • Musical SPY x FAMILY • Manga Novelization 1 • Manga Novelization 2 • Manga Novelization 3Spy x Family has been on my radar for a long time. I heard about it from a friend and then really wanted to read it! Word of mouth is great for marketing, eh? Spy X Family has become a recent big hit over in Shonen Jump, bringing with it a unique flavor to the long-running manga magazine. It just recently got released in volume form in America, so let’s dive in. The Lowdown The father, code name: Twilight, is THE best spy in Westalis. His newest mission is to maintain peace between two neighboring countries, Westalis and Ostania (basically just West Germany and East Germany during the Berlin Wall). And to achieve this, he needs to get married and have a child within 7 days. Three people are on a collision course with destiny! Each one has needs—Twilight a wife, Yor a boyfriend, and Anya a family. When chance—or is that Fate?—brings them together, they decide to form a family. Will they be able to fulfill Twilight’s mission and gain Anya admission into Eden Academy? And if they do, how long can they maintain their cover… and how long will they want to? The story-line is engaging and entertaining with great illustrations. I am looking forward to the next volume.
