So this reflection took more than a day for me to think about writing a review about. More like a week (two weeks?) Oy vey. Ian McShane as Merriman Lyon. An Old One, a fighter for The Light and one of Will's primary instructors on how to fight the dark. For most of the film, he is emotionally distant from Will, trying to encourage him to be a warrior instead of listening to him. London, 1654. Oliver Cromwell is at the height of his power and has declared himself Lord Protector. Captain Damian Seeker is his most trusted agent. No one knows where Seeker comes from, who his family is, or even his real name. All that is known for certain is that he is utterly loyal to Cromwell and that he has eyes everywhere. In the city, coffee houses are springing up, fashionable places where men may meet to plot and gossip. Suddenly they are ringing with news of a murder. John Winter, hero of Cromwell's all-powerful army, is dead, and the lawyer, Elias Ellingworth, found standing over the bleeding body, clutching a knife.

People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.” The Sword of Truth tv series, the reason this saga is called The Legend of the Seeker books Edmund and Gary Entin as Robin and Paul Stanton, Will's older brothers who happen to be twins. The twins bully Will slightly but they do love him. I really don't know how to describe this novel except to call it intense over and over again. It's the kind of story that you have to be willing to give a chance, knowing that you're going to be confused for a majority of the book but that all will be revealed in the end. Personally, I can't wait to see what's next for these characters in Traveler!

I think this will come later in the series, but I wanted more in terms of the Seeker business. There was a lot going on in this book, and I hope that the true nature and duty of a Seeker is exposed more in book two. Erin Hunter employs excitement in all the books and uses realistic behavior for the characters in the description of the bears’ world. Erin Hunter is a pseudonym used by a team of five authors and one editor. The authors are Cherith Baldry, Inbali Iserles, Gillian Philip, Kate Cary, and Tui Sutherland while the editor is Victoria Holmes. Each of the authors plays a specific role while the editor, Holmes is responsible for creating the storyline of each book. Together as Eric Hunter, they have written other novel series which include the nationally bestselling Warriors series and the Survivors series. Erin Hunter specializes in animal fantasy and is inspired by a fascination with the natural world and the love of cats. Erin holds great respect for nature and fancies creating rich mythical explanations for certain animal behavior. So, love triangle verdict: yes. Yes, this book (and probably, the entire series) has a love triangle. It's not bothering me so much at the moment, because the lines have been drawn (especially after reading the very last paragraph of the book), but I can see how the author COULD potentially mix things up.

The correct name is The Sword of Truth books in any case, but it’s okay to call them that way as well since lots of fans know this series thanks to the adaptation produced by ABC Studios. What genre are Terry Goodkind books? See what I said above, about the love triangle. It's there. It exists. I don't like love triangles at all, but this one isn't bothering me too much at the moment. I actually like all three protagonists (Quin, Shinobu, John), despite one of them being the "villain" in the book, and one of them being a total drug addict. But... love triangle. Grrr.
