About this deal

Brie was a fantastically strong protagonist though, I’d say a little too trusting at times but l loved her nonetheless. The chemistry between Brie and both Princes was swoonworthy—the love triangle was soo well written, I had a difficult time deciding which prince I liked best, or for that matter whom to trust.

But of course there are many complications and a rebel group lead by the Unseelie Prince and trying to guard her heart from the two ~seductive~ Princes, etc, etc.

Publication Order of Abbott Springs Books

everyone would probably die of boredom. therefore, the author added a second love interest, which is also a stunning seductive fairy prince, but he has a different hair color, so that a love triangle can be formed. this is not “it’s me, not the book” situation. because it is this BOOK’S fault. and i don’t get how it can have an average 4,07. for what, plagiarism? I need sleep. Food. And in the morning, maybe even a few mindless minutes of watching Sebastian train in the courtyard behind Madame Vivias’s. That might be better than sleep or food. My satchel is heavy with my stolen goods, and I clutch it to my side so it won’t clang against my hip as I race out of the vault. I lift the starworm off my wrist, gasping as it fights me, trying for more blood.

I loved the characters. Abriella (Brie) is courageous and I was rooting for her. She deeply hates Fae, but love for her sister Jas is stronger. For her, Brie would do anything, even going into the Fae lands and make a bargain with the king of Unseelie to retrieve three artifacts stolen from his court in the Seelie court in exchange for her sister's safe return home.

Diaries & Calendars

I don’t ask what she means. I already know. I hear footsteps and turn to see Nik standing behind me, her arms crossed, horror on her face. Brie is a strong but trusting character. From the world she came from I thought she would’ve been a little less trusting, but she fell in with characters quite easy. It made the plot interesting, just didn’t really go with what we were being told of her. However, I do see her character having a massive development in the next book and I cannot wait. Sebastian, on the other hand, had the most character development and it was really well done. As in, very, very well done. I feel we’ve not had enough scenes with Finn to really see a change, but I loved how sincere he was. All of the characters each had their own focus and I liked that they didn’t move from what they wanted. The book is very family oriented, with all of the characters doing what they think is right for the people they love. But will I read the sequel?? Probably. Because, sure, this book is trashy and dumb but I'm invested because there's just not enough faerie books so I'm left grabbing at anything. But when there was even a smidgen of me liking Sebastian, my heart was stolen by Finn. Yes, he is indeed the dark-haired faerie I felt the need to fangirl about up there. The scene, there was a scene. Not a one bed trope, this time. Not fake dating. Not in-the-air suspicious actions, nope. A scene where he made me sing for him with the bits of my voice that were left. Compared to Sebastian (who felt the need to protect the MC 98% of the time and those were the times when the MC felt the amazing pull to feel 'I need to do this so he can protect me' *ugh*), Finn in turn wanted to train Brie to be the 👏🏽best queen 👏🏽in 👏🏽her 👏🏽 own 👏🏽right 👏🏽she 👏🏽 could 👏🏽 be. Exactly, you know imma be his team regardless of how gray of a character he turns out to be.

Brie is determined, she’s sassy and she’s brave. Perfection in my eyes! We really get to go on a journey with her and see her make discoveries that flip her world on its head. I never felt bored getting to see more of her story. I was so engaged in it that it seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye! These Hollow Vows follows the story of Brie. Brie is struggling to survive paying off the debts that she owes. She could easily make the money from bargaining with the Fae, but she refuses to do that as she despises them. But when her sister is sold to a dangerous Fae, she plunges headfirst into the Fae lands and will do anything to save her sister.anyway, i got TCP vibes but i was like ok then where tf is my Jude Duarte? i was given a Feyre, which is when the acotar vibes came in, along with the love triangle. However this love triangle is written very well and the way shit ended? omfg you’re telling me i have to wait a year for book 2? and i’ll probably be denied an ARC for book 2 like i was with this? lmaoo ok jk, that was kinda bitter Además, algo que me gustó muchísimo de esta historia fue que siempre tuve una sensación que me decía como “algo extraño va a pasar”, “no confíes en lo que digan”, “no te encariñes con ningún personaje”… y a pesar de eso CONFIÉ EN LOS PERSONAJES, CONFIÉ EN LO QUE ME DIJERON y, obvio, al final quedé con la boca abierta por todo lo que estaba sucediendo.

I went from liking to loving the way Brie's character was written. The story of a main character who goes above and beyond to save her sister has been done before, yet I was so interested in seeing Brie scheme, grow, and make difficult choices. I loved seeing her figure it out and grow stronger. Tonight’s mission is dangerous, and I can’t risk forgetting that for even a moment. I only steal from those who have more than they need, but with wealth comes power—the power to have thieves like me executed if we’re caught. Nik squeezes her eyes shut. “This world is so screwed up.” There’s no way Fawn can hear us unless she’s listening at the door, but Nik lowers her voice anyway. “I have a friend who could give you work.” Starting with the plot, I was so happy the hype didn't crush my soul this time. It actually existed! There was a plot, le gasp. I know, right? Alright, reining in the sarcasm. Soooo, I kinda sorta maybe perhaps really enjoyed it. The fast pace aided my fangirling feelings and of course, having to finish research papers whilst being hooked on a book isn't exactly smart. But when have I ever made smart decisions? Literally, take this book for example. Sequel, where? Brain, who? My voice after having spent all night squealing under the covers like a book fiend? Non-existent. I loved this book so much I’ve read it twice in practically as many days. This book is just everything you want in a YA dipping into New Adult fantasy. If you love the top fantasy series at the moment e.g The Folk of the Air trilogy, ACOTAR, The Grisha series you will love this; just mix them with the Selection series and that is this book.
