Please note that the above instructions are for making 1 litre of Virkon disinfectant solution and is to be used as a guide. You can make 500mls of Virkon solution using only one 5gm tablet. The potassium monopersulphate oxidises proteins in bacteria cell walls and viral structures. This is what disrupts the bacteria's physical structure and the viability as pathogens. Solution can be applied to surfaces using a spray bottle, sponge, mop etc. Any items that need disinfecting (not medical devices) can be submerged in Virkon solution and rinsed afterwards. Virkon™ S should only be used on water proof or non-porous footwear. Do not use on footwear that is damaged or permeable by water.

Once placed in water, becomes a pink solution which is activated within 5 minutes. Built-in colour indicator of strength and use life up to five days after activation (1:100 solution). Remove all litter droppings and manure from floors, walls and surfaces of barns, pens, stall, chutes and other facilities and fixtures occupied or traversed by poultry or other animals.Virkon® is a disinfectant possessing broad-spectrum virucidal, bactericidal and fungicidal activity. The effectiveness of Virkon® is further enhanced by its excellent detergent properties, so that clean, disease-free surfaces can be achieved. Virkon® is unique in its composition. Its activity is based on a buffered synergized acid peroxygen system containing a high percentage of surfactant. Virkon® can be used on all surfaces and in all situations. Once diluted in a 1% solution, Virkon® is of low toxicity, non-tainting, and non-irritant. Because of its high detergency and mode of action, Virkon® can be used in an exceptional variety of situations for effective cleaning and virucidal disinfection in a single operation. Virkon® can be applied manually or through all types of cleaning and spraying equipment. Using a pressure washer or other mechanical sprayer, apply Virkon S solution at an application rate of 300 ml/m2 Effective against Hepatitis A, B, and C, HIV, MRSA, Influenza A Virus, E- coli (ESBL), Klebsiella pneumoniae (ESBL) and Coronavirus Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS)* x 5gm of Rely+On™ Virkon™ tablets make up approx 5 litres of Virkon Disinfectant. Each 5gm tablet makes up 500mls of Virkon disinfectant.

Not approved in California for use on ventilation and other equipment and water systems. It is not intended to directly affect agricultural production and must not be applied to plants, seeds, or soil. If necessary, remove or cover these items prior to use of the product.

Step into the container with boots on and use a clean brush to clean boots with disinfectant solution.
