Please note that the Active Hands general purpose gripping aid is sold as a single left or right glove, not as a pair. In Active Hands, they have a size guide tab on their product descriptions, so you can use it to help you determine the size to buy. If your size is between two sizes, then you should buy the one closest to your size. If you cannot find the size that suits you, then you can use their customized service. Perfect for little hands, Active Hands Mini aids are a colourful adaptation of our General Purpose aid for under fives. Many medical conditions can affect children’s grip or hand function, from Cerebral Palsy to Guillain-Barré syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy to Spina Bifida, but with our Mini aids none of these need be a bar to having fun!

D-Ring aids are ideal for use in the gym. They allow attachment directly to the karibiner on gym equipment such as cable and pulley machines. This gives the benefit of a greater range of movement as well as pulling directly from the wrist- making upper body workouts easier. Active Hands aids are both kind to the skin and made to last. Built from tough webbing and comfortable but durable neoprene (wet suit material) they’re designed to withstand regular use, even for strenuous activities. All aids are machine washable – make sure you do the velcro up first! My disability didn’t make things easy, getting a grip on the erg handle, the left oar and the weights was difficult but my coach gave me a bag of Active Hands gripping aids and it made physical activity possible again.The wearable stylus has two rings for stability. The tape allows you to cut strips or shapes to fit your items. The tape is 2 inches wide and 10 foot long. Nimble’s safe blade profile means you can’t cut yourself when using it. The one-finger operation makes it accessible for people with limited hand mobility. It works for things like joint pain, little-to-no hand strength, hand tremors, reduced hand-eye co-ordination, deformed or swollen hands and for people with only one usable hand such as stroke survivors or amputees. Young or old, disabled or not, Nimble makes cutting and opening things easier for everyone.After you have used the Hook aids a few times there are various options to personalise/customise them for your own specific hand size and usage. I f it is interfering with the elastic loop, t he neoprene material that fits in the palm of the hand can be trimmed to your specific requirements. The neoprene can be cut to size using scissors or a sharp knife (you may wish to get assistance with this). The other option is to cut a small slit in the neoprene and pass the elastic loop through this, as shown in the diagram. We recommend using the Hook aids a number of times before altering them in any way as once this is done the alterations will be permanent. All Active Hands gripping aids are built to last.
