The combination of AMD FreeSync and a 144Hz refresh rate is becoming increasingly popular – and affordable, too. The ViewSonic XG2401 is one of the best small gaming monitors around right now and it has exactly the same FreeSync specification. The AOC G2790PX is a more mature gaming monitor from AOC – and it also includes AMD’s technology. The operating altitude shows the maximum admissible altitude, at which the display will function flawlessly. Above this level it might not operate properly and/or might seize to function.
The most widely used panels are those with 6, 8, and 10 bits for each of the RGB components of the pixel. They provide 18-, 24-, and 30-bit color, respectively.Those figures are both excellent, but the brightness level of 265 nits is disappointing. It leaves the screen looking dim, especially if you’re trying to play games in particularly bright situations. Of course, if you’re in a dark room then it won’t be a concern, but it’s something to remember. Equip yourself with twice the frame rate of other monitors and say goodbye to image stuttering and blurry motion. With a 144Hz refresh rate every frame is rendered sharply and in smooth succession, so you can line up your shots accurately and appreciate high speed races in all their glory.
However, the screen is too dim, which won’t help in eSports games or beneath bright lights – and the screen does exhibit a little ghosting during more intense scenarios. These results mean that the AOC is better for casual and mainstream gamers rather than eSports players. Information about whether the stand can be dismounted. Usually, this is required for wall mounting. There are various panel technologies. Each has its own specific features - viewing angles, color reproduction, response time, brightness/contrast, production cost, etc. The image quality depends directly on the type of the display panel used. There’s also a Motion Blur Reduction (MBR) feature on this monitor, but it requires turning FreeSync off and playing your games at a very high framerate to work well. I found Overdrive to be sufficient in alleviating motion blur. The C27G1 has a 1800R curved, frameless 27" VA panel in Full HD with 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms MPRT and FreeSync, aimed at competitive and casual gamers. It freatures a fully ergonomic stand and 3-sides frameless design You get two HDMI 1.4 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2 connection and a D-SUB input. That connectivity is fine – it matches its rivals – but you could run into problems if you want to connect a number of devices to this unit.
