About this deal

However, the keyboard of the laptop isn’t the best out there. Considering all these, I will rate the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 an eight out of ten in this design review section. Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 Processor (CPU) Performance Review Thankfully, apart from their local storage, Chromebooks usually come with 15 GB of Google Drive cloud storage. As excepted, the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 isn’t an exception. Hence, I will rate the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 a seven out of ten in this memory review section. Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3Storage Options and Performance Review

Besides, as a 2-in-1 Chromebook, this laptop’s display is a touchscreen. As a matter of fact, the display supports 10-point touch.

Verdict

Alongside the Celeron chip is 4GB of system memory and just 64GB of eMMC-style storage. All told, it’s a pretty unimpressive technical line up that represents a bottom-rung Intel-powered solution. Were this a Windows laptop or convertible, that would be enough to have us running for the hills. However, the Chrome OS environment is both less demanding and also cloud-centric. So, outright performance and local storage are not as critical.

Hence, to wrap up this graphics card review section, I will be rating the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 a seven out of ten. Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 Battery Life and Performance Review Okay, guys, today we have something very portable in our office. It is not your ordinary laptop, and not because it has a 360° hinge. The reason for that lays more in its size and purpose. We are talking about none other, but the Lenovo Ideapad Flex 3 (11). Well, we think we have put that straight at the beginning of this review, but we’re going to say it again – this laptop is not meant to render complex 3D objects, nor to enable you to play any AAA title out there. Instead, you would want it for an unpretentious daily driver, which also works as a tablet.

The Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 comes with an integrated ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics card. This graphics card has a standard frequency of 850 MHz. Moreover, the lid is connected to the base of the laptop by dual hinges. These hinges are quite solid and are strong enough to prevent the lid from wobbling when nudged or pushed. If the sheer quality of the Flex 3 is surprising, its core specifications are less so. Processing power comes from an Intel Celeron N4020 CPU. That’s a dual-core chip derived from Intel’s low-power and low-cost Atom line of processors, rather than the premium high performance Core family. By the way, the higher the single-core and multi-core scores, the better the processor’s performance. With that in mind, at the end of the Geekbench 5.3 test, the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 delivered a single-core score of 260 points.

Still, we’ve included other color spaces like the famous DCI-P3 standard used by movie studios, as well as the digital UHD Rec.2020 standard. Rec.2020, however, is still a thing of the future and it’s difficult for today’s displays to cover that well. We’ve also included the so-called Michael Pointer gamut, or Pointer’s gamut, which represents the colors that naturally occur around us every day. We estimate Windows 11 support will end in October 2031. However, this laptop may be compatible with a future version of Windows that gets support beyond this date However, surrounding this laptop’s display are bulky bezels. Honestly, these massive bezels are a turn-off for displays as they, most time, cause distraction during video streaming sessions. Ultimately, it sits in a very weird place on the market. Somewhere beneath large tablets, and small laptops, but more importantly – it is aimed at a younger user base. Installing our Health-Guard profile not only eliminates PWM but also reduces the harmful Blue Light emissions while keeping the colors of the screen perceptually accurate. If you’re not familiar with the Blue light, the TL;DR version is – emissions that negatively affect your eyes, skin, and your whole body. You can find more information about that in our dedicated article on Blue Light. Conclusion

Performance: The absolute minimum

In addition to the HD resolution, the laptop’s display also comes with an IPS panel for wide viewing angles. Thus, you can decide to watch the display from the sides and won’t notice any loss in picture quality or color distortion. Having said all that, I would have loved to share the CrystalDiskMark benchmark test result of this Chromebook to know its storage performance. However, because the Chrome OS that Chromebooks use doesn’t support this benchmark test, I wasn’t able to obtain the laptop’s result. Clearly, this laptop is compact and light enough to be carried around with ease. Moreover, compared with most of the Chromebooks in its category, the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 weighs less. The Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 comes with an onboard 4 GB LPDDR4x 1866 MHz RAM. Unfortunately, because this memory is onboard, it cannot be removed or upgraded as it is soldered into the laptop’s motherboard.

Lenovo's Flex 3 doesn't deviate from this trend but it does introduce a new Intel CPU, the N100. The first of the silicon giant's N-series processors we've had a chance to test, it differs from Intel's Core series by ditching the multithreaded Performance cores (P-cores) and having only single-thread Efficient cores (E-cores). The N100 has four cores, reducing power draw to squeeze longer battery life out of the lightweight laptops for which it's designed. In other words, it's just about perfect for a Chromebook. Nevertheless, simple Android games should run smoothly on the laptop. For example, while playing World of Tanks Blitz (2018), the laptop delivered an impressive 60 fps (frame per second). The Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 runs on a 3-cell 42 WHr lithium-ion battery. According to Lenovo, this Chromebook has a battery life of 16 hours.

Display: Low-resolution IPS panel

For a better analysis of the laptop’s graphics card, I will now present its 3DMark benchmark test result. Briefly, the 3DMark test is used to evaluate the 3D graphics rendering ability of a computer. Hence, if you are a student or need a laptop for carrying out simple computing workloads, the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 is worth considering. Of course, there are now numerous affordable 2-in-1 Chromebooks to choose from, including the Acer Chromebook Spin. The general theme in that class of Chromebook involves low-power processing and limited storage. The Flex 3 is no exception. Moreover, the single-core score is generated when only one of the processor’s cores is utilized. Meanwhile, the multi-core score is generated when all of the processor’s cores are being used.
