About this deal

Meanwhile, the fifth classic tale of Gotrek and his long-suffering chronicler Felix joins the burgeoning library of audiobooks with Beastslayer by William King.

Shadowsword continues the story of the Baneblade crew as they join a Shadowsword super-heavy artillery company as close support. With the fate of three star systems in the balance, the tank’s commander faces harsh truths about the nature of the Imperium and his place in it, giving you a different perspective on the duty and honour of the Astra Militarum. If you want to catch up with all of Minka Lesk’s previous exploits, you can also look forward to Minka Lesk: The Last Whiteshield . This omnibus collects all five previous Minka Lesk stories in one place, serving as the perfect introduction before the new novel emerges. The rising star of the Astra Militarum, Minka Lesk, hits the battlefield with a highly detailed miniature for the first time to coincide with the release of her new full-length novel Shadow of the Eighth . This awesome commemorative miniature can be built to represent Minka in several stages of her life – as a determined Sergeant armed with her trusty lasgun, or the power sword-toting Captain on the cover. The Cadian 101st, led by Minka Lesk, is taking the fight to the traitors on Malouri. Will their faith and pride keep them fighting or will the meat-grinder siege break them down? Both are fascinating looks at the common soldiery of the Imperium, a far cry from the superhuman feats of the Adeptus Astartes, but heroic nonetheless. More details on these releases are coming this summer. Gaunt’s Ghosts: Print on Demand As the Cadians struggle through sacrifice and brutal attrition, they must come to terms with the loss of their home world and find an answer to the haunting question: what does it mean to be one of the vaunted Cadians in a galaxy without Cadia? To have seen all those things go down and still be fighting, she has some insane determination and love for Cadia! From the sounds of it, they won’t be giving her special rules, but will still be a fun model to add to your forces.

Also hitting shelves this weekend is a Minka Lesk: The Last Whiteshield , a massive omnibus collecting all five of the previous Minka Lesk stories in one place, the perfect introduction to this character and her exploits. To celebrate the return of the Ghosts, we’ve got something special in store – a full-colour canvas Tanith banner to hang on your wall. JH: Minka Lesk is the Cadian who starts Cadia Stands (‘She is four. It is time to learn….’) now grown up, and still reeling from the fall of the Cadian Gate. She’s the pivotal character, and the face of the book – one of the best BL covers I’ve seen – which is awesome!ToW: How does the final product compare to your original concept? Has anything changed much from your first ideas? Baneblade follows the crew of, as you might have guessed, a Baneblade, which forms part of a tank company battling an ork Waaagh! The novel gives you a look into the life of a tank crew, the bonds that build between crewmates and the tank itself, and the nature of large-scale warfare in the 41st Millennium. Don’t sit around and miss out if you want anything in the latest Humble Bundle, as you won’t find this kind of value again soon! Especially if you want to read about all the different universes of Warhammer. New 40k Minka Lesk Miniature, Necromunda Core Rules, & BL Pricing CONFIRMED! Dry. That’s dry, bare bones you-are-there heroism that is as underrated as it is poignant. Actually, it’s so poignant because it is so understated. Every hero has a moment that defines their legend, a battle that sets them on the path they are meant to walk. For Ursarkar Creed, that moment is here. Cadia itself is under threat – the hordes of Chaos emerge once more from the Eye of Terror, and the forces of the Imperium muster to meet them. But on Tyrok Fields, an act of base treachery, spurred on by an old enemy of Creed’s, will change everything and provide General Creed a chance to prove his worth once and for all, and embrace his destiny as Lord Castellan of Cadia.

Return to one of Gotrek’s most beloved adventures in a new audiobook edition of Manslayer by Nathan Long. The relentless slayer and his long-suffering companion Felix sail towards the Chaos Wastes aboard a mighty Old World airship, but a series of suspicious accidents threaten to plunge the expedition into disaster unless the pair can root out the culprits. ToW: Without spoiling anything, who are the main characters and what do we need to know about them?I should be clear: this article expresses my personal opinion…I’m not a Games Workshop spokesperson, nor should this be taken as an expert opinion on 40k lore! Alas, as the story is recounted by Alpharius himself, can you truly trust everything that comes from the serpent’s mouth? Or is this simply another masterwork in obfuscation from the Lord of the Alpha Legion? Justin D. Hill: What does it mean to be a Cadian now that you have failed at your 10,000 year mission… and how can you prove it? The first BL fiction released to explore the events of the Fall of Cadia, this begins just before the events of The Battle of Tyrok Fields but mostly covers the main thrust of Abaddon’s invasion, shown from a variety of Cadian perspectives. Interestingly, while Ursarkar E. Creed does briefly appear, this is definitely not his story – instead it introduces Major Isaia Bendikt and a certain Whiteshield named Minka Lesk (as well as carrying over a few characters from Hill’s Creed stories), and offers a sort of ‘grunts-eye’, boots-on-the-ground view of the planet’s final hours. It’s really good, just don’t expect the full big picture – that’s not quite what this is. JH: Cadia Stands was an attempt to capture a planet-wide battle within one narrative, focusing mainly on a city fight setting. With Cadian Honour I wanted something different – to use a Guard story to flesh out the wider implications to the rest of the Imperium of the Fall of Cadia. The cast is a microcosm of all that’s going on in the Imperial post-Cicatrix Maledictum. When the Cadian 101st arrive on Potence they think they’re getting a cushy deal.
