About this deal

Simple syrup: Store bought simple syrup is easiest, but it's super easy to make from scratch, too. Combine equal parts water and sugar (we typically use ½ cup of each) in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a low simmer and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool before using. To make this a sugar-free passion fruit martini, omit the liqueur or sweetened passion fruit juice. Use 2 extra ounces of the puree and an extra 1/2 to 1 ounce of sugar-free vanilla simple syrup instead. Adjust the sweetener to your tastes. Shake Easy to make: this passion fruit martini comes together with just 6 simple ingredients in about 5 minutes.

While stumbling across the idea for a passion fruit martini (which are quite popular by the way!) I came across some scandalous findings… We say: The sour, tropical fruity flavour of fresh passion fruit laced with cachaça's grassy tropical notes. Swap out regular vodka for a vanilla vodka! This adds a certain ‘aroma’ and makes the drink a bit sweeter. These easy to make, elegant martinis are perfect for date night! Spice up your usual beer or bottle of wine and make something with, well, passion! I love serving these with a fancier pasta like homemade mushroom gnocchi or pesto stuffed shells.Passion fruit martinis are a fruity riff on classic martinis with added passion fruit puree juice and a bit of cointreau for citrus flavor. So if you love a martini, be sure to give this a try!

Cointreau or triple sec: This adds a nice citrus note to the drink and cuts a little bit of the sweetness. Strain the passion fruit martini into two glasses and top off with about 1oz each of Prosecco. This is optional – it tastes great without, too. We just like a tiny but of fizz! Expert Tips and FAQs

With: Fresh passion fruit, cachaça, passion fruit liqueur, orange curaçao, verjus, pineapple juice, and Daiquiri Bitters. To your shaker: add vodka, cointreau, passion fruit puree, and honey if using. Fill the remaining shaker with ice and wrap a towel around it. Place the top of shaker on and shake for 10-15 seconds or until the drink is well chilled. Add 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar (or sugar substitute with a 1:1 sugar ratio), and 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup to a small saucepan. Use plain or vanilla vodka. You could technically even use another fruit flavored vodka for a unique taste. If you can't find passion fruit liqueur see below, or omit and use a premixed sweetened passion fruit juice.

Serve it with a shot of champagne or prosecco! I’m serious! I actually thought this idea was really fun and I would be very pleased if a bar served my drinks with a shot of champagne, just enough ya know?! With: Reposado tequila, passion fruit liqueur, lime juice, vanilla syrup, passionfruit puree and foamer. Shake with ice and serve in a chilled Martini glass, with half a passionfruit float, and a shot of Prosecco on the side. Alternatively pour in a Champagne flute and top with a dash of Prosecco. Honey: Just a little! The drink is pretty sweet from the passion fruit puree, but add a little honey if you like your drinks extra sweet.

Use an unsweetened fruit juice or extra fruit puree and omit the liqueur. Because the fruit is so tangy you will need to add additional sweetener. Either add an extra ounce of vanilla vodka or omit the 1 ounce of liqueur altogether. If needed, make vanilla simple syrup and puree the passion fruit. Slice fruits and wedge your lime. Add Ingredients If you can't find fresh passion fruit for the garnish or puree, omit the garnish and substitute a frozen or pre-made puree With: Fresh passion fruit, passion fruit liqueur, vanilla vodka, vanilla syrup, lime juice and prosseco.

Add all other ingredients, including a large handful of ice to the shaker, then secure the lid and shake vigorously for 30-40 seconds. It seems like this popular, fruity martini stemmed after the scandalous‘ porn star martini’. Needless to say I was intrigued by both! The porn star martini was discovered in England at a popular night club that was inspired by porn stars! It’s said to be what a porn star would drink, but honestly it sounds just like a delightfully sweet martini to me. With: Fresh mint, gold rum, passion fruit liqueur, lime juice, passion fruit syrup, and soda water. Really, it would be a shame not to give it a try. And you may like my passionfruit gin and tonic too – it’s another fresh and zesty passionfruit libation. Ingredients NotesPassion Fruit Liqueur - For test purposes I used Passoa passion fruit liqueur, but in case you can't get your hands on a bottle, I also used a ready mixed and sweetened passion fruit juice (Welchs and our local store brand make a pre-mixed juice that were both good). For the sugar free version of this recipe do not use liqueur as it is uses quite a bit of sugar. If using regular vodka with vanilla extract, around ¼tsp of extract should suffice – vanilla can be overpowering in large quantities
