About this deal

The Chaplain exhorts his charges to steel themselves against even the most dangerous weapons the enemy can bring to bear. I had some thoughts while I spent time on that novella I call a forum post about Templars so I'll quote some combos I noticed from that: Priest (litanies) ability - I like the upgrade to Master of sanctity, the warlord trait, and the strat. Hardly a controversial opinion, but it might help to discuss it in more depth.

The Primaris Chaplain on Bike is a Space Marine HQ choice. These elite warriors and leaders are the spiritual leaders of the chapters and help with indoctrination of new recruits. On the battlefield, they inspire their brothers to do great deeds and punish heretics. This bike-mounted version is a fast melee-focused unit, that doubles support unit with its powerful buffs. Why They Are Good

If you’re a Space Marines player and want to enhance nearby troops with a suite of powerful abilities while keeping pace with the fastest elements of your army, you need a Chaplain on Bike. The Raider-pattern bike allows the Chaplain to keep up with even the swiftest armoured advance or spearhead breakthrough, bellowing catechisms to urge his brothers to victory and charging headlong into the foe with his swinging crozius arcanum. The Primaris Chaplain on Bike is the perfect accompaniment to your Outriders or forward units like Incursors, acting as a tactical lynchpin and ceramite-clad comet of righteous fury, making zealotry faster and more deadly than ever. Primaris Chaplain on Bike Datasheets What’s in the Primaris Chaplain on Bike box The big advantage of Biker Chaplains is that they move fast and that Litanies hit at the start of the round. This means you could potentially use one Chaplain to boost another one, and then send that particular Champion off to wreak havoc and crush enemies. The absolute best possible combination for this are White Scars, who have the ability to Advance and charge and deal extra damage in the Assault Doctrine. With that in mind just how absurdly powerful could a Biker Chaplain get? To make the gold details stand out even more, use Liberator Gold to highlight the edges and corners. This adds a brilliant sheen. Select a texture paint like Astrogranite Debris or Agrellan Earth to create a textured base for your Chaplain on Bike. Apply it to the base surface and allow it to dry thoroughly.

Despite our best efforts to split everything, Liam and I did end up with a bit of overlap as there are some things in here that are just too cool not to paint. Liam hopped in and painted up a unit of Eradicators, and I painted up the Judiciar as soon as I’d finished my main commitment. Silent angry dude with a big sword is just too cool not to paint. My yellow armor is painted fairly simply following a method from The Mighty Brush. I prime in tan, pre-shade with VMA Mud and Rust, add a highlight of Insignia White, then lightly airbrush layers of Medium Yellow over until I’m happy with the vibrance. I do some edge highlights with Phalanx Yellow and a pinwash of AK Paneliner for Sand and Desert to finish up the yellow, after which it gets weathered primarily by sponging Rhinox Hide. To manifest the psychic power, you must first pass a Psychic test. The opposing player can then select one of their PSYKER units that is within 24" of the PSYKER unit attempting to manifest the power and attempt to deny that power before its effects are resolved by passing a Deny the Witch test.

Jack’s Method

Legend has it that the golden, skull-faced death mask known as the Emperor's Judgement was crafted in the years following the Horus Heresy, and its crimson, crystal eye lenses are imbued with droplets of his own lifeblood. Regardless of the truth of its origins, several influential Masters of Sanctity have been granted the honour of wearing the Emperor's Judgement in battle. Both heretics and xenos cower in the face of its grim majesty.

Finally, the shields were done by basecoating the inner section with Caliban Green followed by a heavy stipple of Warpstone. Reaper Jade Green was then lightly stippled, randomly to create clusters of color like you get in the gemstone. Finally the white veins were done with thinned down Splintered Bone. Scale75 Necro Gold frames the shield (and is what I used for all the rest of the gold.Highlight the gold details on both the armor and the bike, including emblems, trims, weapons, and ornaments, with Retributor Armour. This adds a touch of regal splendor. Some weapons have ‘Blast’ listed in their profile’s abilities. These are referred to as Blast weapons. In addition to the normal rules, the following rules apply to Blast weapons: In the ever-shifting meta of 40K armies rise and fall. We’ve spent a lot of time talking about armies that are hot or not and a lot less time looking at units that are running the show. That changes today as we’re taking a look at one of the hottest units currently around the tabletop: the Primaris Chaplain on Bike! The Unit The Deathwatch utilise a range of specialised bolt shells in many of their weapons. From rounds that douse their targets in acid to hollow shells filled with superheated gas, each type is designed to eliminate specific xenos foes. Each time a unit is selected to shoot, if it contains any models that are equipped with a weapon with this ability, then before you select any targets, each weapon with this ability can fire special-issue ammunition. If any do, select one of the ammunition types below for that weapon; until the end of the phase, each time that weapon is fired, apply the modifiers and abilities associated with that special-issue ammunition:
