About this deal

River byl zlomený a tzv. "bouchal pěstmi okolo sebe" protože, jen on znal skutečnou pravdu. Líbilo se mi, že jakmile se dozvěděl, že je jeho sousedka těhotná, najednou obrátil a začal se chovat jinak. Hero is not whoring around, I don’t really think he had many partners, there is a descriptive scene of him losing his virginity at 16, he was very aroused and though the girl was pretty and was about to cum by looking at her lying in bed, he was being filmed without his consent and he orgasmed fast so he was humiliated by the girl and her asshole ex boyfriend. It was a set up. I understand he was a horny sixteen but whatever I don’t like that many details about the hero with anyone else. I know that look. I used to see it in my own eyes every time I could bear to look in the mirror. I still see it now. This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Sebastian York. These are two of the best narrators for romance. Savannah has a soft, feminine voice and Sebastian has a deep, gravelly voice. They are both great at doing multiple voices for different characters and I really enjoyed listening to them.

Worth a credit? YES. It’s not my first romance rodeo with Samantha Towle.. and it won’t be my last either - because over and over again her characters, her plots and her stories have ensnared, entwined and entertained me. This has good character growth as both Carrie and River find the courage to slowly transform, forgive themselves and heal each other from the dark days of their pasts. In this slow burn, where enemies become friends who become lovers, there’s a nice balance of feels, a bit of angst and drama, strength and forgiveness, laughter and loyalty, sighs and sweetness.. and a beautiful ending. There are splashes of River’s past then present in chapters excellently narrated (of course) by Sebastian.. and Savannah did a fantastic job with the rest. Warning: possible triggers of child and domestic abuse. As strange as this might sound," he says, "sometimes, the devil you know is better than the devil you don't." The Hero: River Wild - he grew up in an abusive household. His stepfather was a policeman and when his mother wasn’t around, he always hurt River and made him do things he didn’t want to do. He threatened to put River in jail and hurt his mom if River told her. Until one day when River can’t take it anymore and uses his stepfather’s gun against him.vigilante? he. . . hunts down pedophile's and hurts them? and this is a whole. . . thing? ummmmmm. . . what?! i don't - i don't understand. He's also been through A LOT of things throughout his life and I don't know how he's been able to live after all that shit, but I'm glad he never gave up and he really thought "you now? Even though life It's tough, I won't let it disappoint me" Oh my dear River, I just wanted to hug you and tell you that everything was fine! A great character❤️

After seven years of abuse by her husband, she is finally leaving him... But with him, she is living everything else behind, even her own identity.... I enjoy both of these narrators, and while I did get hooked (like many others out there) on titles featuring Andi Arndt and Sebastian York...I have to say that I JUST NEED A BREAK from the two. But Savannah Peachwood I have listened to multiple titles with her and I'm glad to have other narrators that are VERY good as well. That being said...Sebastian's narration was perfect in this title, and his voice was not overly featured throughout. after helping Carrie with an unexpected drowning dog (yeah. . . it was a time) they become unlikely friends. Separation: No, I didn't consider them "together" at the times apart to be considered a "separation". Carrie used to be Annie. She changed her name after she finally left her abusive husband and fled to Texas. When I started this I wasn't really sure about it. I do like books that have guys that have some sort of depth and River definitely had that. Watching the forever optimistic Carrie slowly win over the pessimistic River was addictive. I couldn't stop listening. I listened to this in audio which was brilliantly narrated and really brought the characters to life. The book begins with River is a young abused child by his police officer, his step father who took a last stand and used his stepfathers gun and shot his abuser. Rivers mother riddled with guilt at what her son had been going through without her knowledge took the blame and went to prison.
