The act of looking for something will create something for us to find” is Ross’s short theory of the Law of Attraction, by which your thoughts create your reality. However, he cautions, what is proven now may not be true for years to come. He explains that Einstein’s theory of relativity was far beyond his time, at the time. However, that same theory, which has been spooned into the mouths of (willing, I must add) science students for years, has now been shown to be incorrect. He asks the question (which I happily label as a prediction) “What does it mean that there won’t be a radio connecting every home to the Spirit World for years to come?” The act of looking for something will create something for us to find” is Ross’ brief theory on the Law of Attraction, whereby your thoughts create your reality. However, he warns, what is proven now may not indeed be truth in years to come. He explains that Einstein’s Theory of Relativity was way beyond its time, at that time. However now that same theory, which has been spoon-fed into the mouths of (willing, I might add) science students for years has been proven to be wrong. He asks the question (which I joyfully label as a prediction) “What’s to say there will not be a radio connecting every home to the Spirit World in years to come?” Grannies already reaffirming the paranormal as a path and sharing her experiences which is incredibly appealing and inclusive to a child so small when their whole world is what the people the trust and love tell them. At the tender and, some might say, highly significant age of fourteenth, Ross began meditation classes at his local Spiritualist Church. Soon the church offered him a place in a closed (private) development circle. The circle taught him to open up to the Spirit World, strengthen his links and communication skills, and hone his clear seeing. They continued with the meditation, practising visualisation techniques and more importantly trained him to close himself down, so spirit could not pop in as and when they felt like it. Ross explained that his school was “very hard” but that his life was not difficult. Many of the children learned of Ross’s psychic abilities from their parents, who had seen the Adolescent Psychic demonstrate his ability in the Spiritualist Church. Those who knew he was clairvoyant accepted and understood him, which I think is a rarity given the non-spiritual environment. I also think that the support he received from his mother, (who introduced Ross to the Spiritualist Church), his close friends, and of course the church certainly helped him a lot during, what can be, very difficult and confusing years.

The image that I imagine from Ross’s theory is the following; Imagine that there are an infinite number of endless vertical straight lines. All the lines are dotted with markers, a bit like the “circles” in London Underground station. If you are currently on a particular route, but then choose a different route, you jump to a manufacturer on another line. However, it seems that this theory has a catch, as we are not in fact flitting through life on a random joyous journey, as our conscience has already predestined the results. She had no idea about Spiritualist Churches and Development Circles. However on a fateful summer evening three weeks after she had been medically retired in 2003, her whole world was turned around. The spirit world had big plans for her. For no reason whatsoever she decided to attend an evening of clairvoyance at a local hall in Rayleigh. At 8 he attends his first meeting at a spiritualist church with his mother. He says he remembers keeping his experiences a secret from his friends and family fearing as any kid does at that age difference and exclusion. What more reassuring than to have your mother and those around you tell you its all real and not only that but they experience it too. Suddenly your included, part of something .The seeds are well and truly sewn. I asked the nineteen-year-old psychic what he thinks is spiritual. He paused for a brief moment, commenting that the question had never been asked before. However, his response was clear and, in short, warm and honorable. The abstemious, non-smoker, chemical-free vegetarian who uses wholeheartedly believes only in good thoughts, as negative thoughts only lead to temptation, respecting and caring for both himself and others. Ross explained that being spiritual means “understanding and compassion for others … understanding yourself … and inner growth.”As I pondered this I found this article on Ross Bartlett Teen Psychic written by none other than his manager Norie Miles for Ghost Voices magazine and already that begins to hint at why this kid isn’t spending his time down the local in hangout and instead is in a ill fitting suit rolling his eyes and spinning out clichés that would make even Degsey cringe. 17 year old kids don’t have managers they have careers teachers and parents that like to nag them to “get a proper job/career/degree/haircut” Anyway, the Teen Psychic, and qualified hypnotherapist, explained the tattoos are a significant reminder, to him, to drive forward in his personal knowledge and development. His tattoos also reveal Ross accepts philosophies from many different cultures and beliefs, with Hindu, Egyptian, Pagan, Hindu and Christian symbols all present in his bodily art collection. This young scientific, yet extrasensory, mind offers more theories and little gems of wonderment to ponder.””God” is energy, is all-powerful, is everything and knows everything…(God) is not governed, or restricted, by time. Energy cannot be created or destroyed because it is everything.” Over the next year, Ross will continue with his public demonstrations, in halls, theatres, pubs and clubs. The Teen Psychic will also be taking his work to Norway and Sweden, where he reports Clairvoyance is becoming very popular. He has travelled to the USA for private one to one readings. In addition, Ross has just completed the first stage of his autobiography, publication for which will be January 2013.

It all starts at five, when Master Bartlett see’s a Victorian lady standing over his mother’s bed. He tells his grandmother who tells him its nothing out of the ordinary and there was nothing to worry about. Good advice you might think but she didn’t mean it was just a ordinary cause or any number of other possible reasons and then explained them to him …she meant It was normal because she was a psychic and claimed to have those experiences herself. And so it begins. At the tender and, some might say, very significant age of fourteen, Ross began meditation classes at his local spiritualist church. Soon the church offered him a place in a closed (private) development circle. The circle taught him to open up to the spirit world, strengthen his bonds and communication skills, and hone his clear vision. They continued with meditation, practicing visualization techniques, and most importantly, they trained him to shut down, so that the spirit could not appear as and when they wanted. He explained the feeling of De Ja Vu as a real memory. He believes that even before we come into this life, our consciousness had already made all the decisions about what we experience in this life. Ross continues: “There are an infinite number of parallel universes, all with different choices and decisions.” Interesting; earth, angel, spirit … I reflect on the symbolic reference, on a conscious level, and I seem to understand it, I am not sure, what is it but it is like a knowing without knowing and there are no words that can describe the resonance? Strange!Good points Fluffet. From what you write it sounds like Ross may well be as much a victim as his audience. He has been over indulged for too long and it is really all he knows. He has been so conditioned to believe in his "abilities" that it becomes even harder to break that conditioning. He has been brain washed whilst he has been indulged and encouraged by his family and church. The readings I have seen certainly do not indicate that he is in any way the real McCoy. In fact he is not even good. The question I have is that if he does indeed genuinly believe in his "abilities" as a 17 year-old at what stage does he have to start taking responsibility for what he is doing? You know when think on what most 17 year olds get up to and spend their time on traipsing around spiritualist churches performing to an audience of people by and large three times their age isn’t the first thing you think about.
