About this deal

I started by priming the model with Grey Seer primer, though if you’re interested in doing a proper zenithal undercoat, doing Mechanicus Standard Grey first and a zenithal hit of Grey Seer is a good way to do it. After that I painted the model with a couple of thin coats of The Fang. And that’s it! This guy was on the whole pretty easy to paint and I’m very happy with how he turned out. Credit: Robert “TheChirurgeon” Jones Bonus: Krom Dragongaze GW's new range matches with the old range are the matches claimed by GW. However, many of the paints do not match very closely at all and some mixing will be required to get close to the original colours. If you are trying to match old GW with new GW, you'd be better just getting Vallejo game color or coat d'arms for the closest match )

When you're part of the game, you’re going with the flow, with the rollercoaster, but when you look at the development of the sport since I joined the PDC in 1996, the difference is incredible. After basecoats, I applied some drybrushing to the various areas, a dark blue grey for the darkest areas and then lighter colors for the lighter areas (Vallejo Iraqi Sand and Pale Sand). Brass Scorpion: This is a warm, metallic brass that can be used to paint the details and accents on the vehicles painted with Russ Grey. It can also be used to create a split-complementary color scheme. Axe Head – Base with Stormhost Silver, glaze with thinned Calth Blue (This used to be Guilliman Blue, but GW Don’t make it anymore), stipple White Scar as frosting and edge highlight with White Scar. The role of PDC ambassador has been created specifically for Russ, because we felt it would be too wasteful to lose his contribution to the sport entirely.” I then mixed up a dark brown wash (Agrax is fine) and applied that liberally to help unify everything further. For the tail, it’s stripes of the same colours. From the base; Steel Legion Drab, Baneblade Brown, Karak Stone, and finally on the very tip, Screaming Skull

When that is COMPLETELY dry, re-establish the darker shapes from before with Agrax Earthshade. Step 4 – Highlight the PeltUse watered down Doombull to add some subtle shading to the face creases. Less is more, don’t over do it.

Bray has made use of his raspy voice in various other forms of media. He was the referee in the PDC's first ever video game, PDC World Championship Darts and also became the voice of Feasters, a microwave food chain. He has also provided voiceover work for advertising from Coral, Ladbrokes, Cash Converters & McCoy's Crisps. Additionally, he has also provided his voice and his name to Russ Bray Darts, a mobile app. [5] Bray has since made an appearance in boxing as the voice on Sky Sports Fight Night in October. Finally there are the edge highlights – I hit pretty much the entire model with edge highlights of Reaper Ghost White, a nice very light off-white which goes well here without being as overpowering as pure white. I did about two of the darker colors and three of the lighter colors. I applied every color while the previous one was still wet and basically just feathered the transitions to blend everything together. The 66-year-old has starred in some of the sport's iconic moments, including the 2007 World Championship decider between Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld at the Circus Tavern. Scabbard & Weapon Handles – Base with Screamer Pink, wash with Agrax Earthshade and highlight with Screamer Pink.

The important thing to remember when edge highlighting, is you want the paint to be thinned so it flows easily from the brush but not so much that it will run everywhere. This means you just want to run the shade into the grooves and edges of the armour and not all over the model. If you make a mistake, simply let it dry and tidy up with some Russ Grey. Darts legend Russ Bray will referee his last televised ranking match in the 2023/24 Paddy Power World Darts Championship final on January 3, as the popular official begins to wind down his stellar career. For the final highlight, I added more White to the mix and highlighted about 50% of the area that I highlighted with the last layer, making sure that the highlights are in areas that would be catching the light. Use Kislev Flesh to highlight the raised areas of the face. A little Lahmian medium and several coats will produce softer blends.Don’t worry if you make any mistakes. Just let it dry and tidy up with Russ Grey. Step 7 – Apply Edge Highlights The Russ Grey paint from Citadel Colour is a high-quality acrylic paint that is specially formulated for use on miniature figurines. Its pigments provide excellent coverage and a smooth, matt finish, making it the perfect foundation color for layering and blending with other colors. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned miniature painter, this paint will be a valuable addition to your palette and help you achieve stunning results on your miniatures. It’s a versatile paint, which can be used as a base coat for a variety of army factions, particularly for Space Marines, Imperial Guard, and other Imperial forces. It’s a subtle and muted gray which can be used as a base coat for a variety of colors, providing an excellent foundation for layering, highlighting, and shading. What vehicle armies to paint with Russ Grey In the Warhammer 40K universe, a number of vehicles can be painted with the Russ Grey paint because it is a flexible color. The following three cars would benefit most from applying this paint: You can, however, decide to go on and add some battle damage to your mini by following these steps.
