Make the crumble topping. Simply mix together all the dry ingredients for the topping, then pour and mix in the melted butter. The texture should resemble wet sand. Spoon the mixture on top of biscuit base, smooth over and return to the fridge to chill for a few hours. Reheat leftovers in the oven. Although you can reheat in the microwave, the crumble topping won’t be as crisp. DebDolly The vegan coconut one is horrid! I so wanted to love this but it's just horrible. A strange, plastic taste, nothing like Bailey's and to pretend it does is just kidding yourself, it was so awful I poured it away, so it must be bad! A note on lemon juice: Many recipes call for lemon juice to toss the apples with so that they don’t brown while you prepare the other ingredients. I opted to skip the lemon juice as felt the tart flavor would clash too much for my liking with the salted caramel sauce. However, you can toss the apples with 2-3 TBLS lemon juice if you feel it’s necessary to preserve the color of the apples. In my opinion, they’re going to covered with the brown salted caramel sauce and you won’t notice the difference. So why bother? 😉 Fill glasses half way with ice. Pour mudslide over ice.
