High-quality sublimation paper is also essential for achieving the best results. Make sure to use sublimation paper that is compatible with your printer and substrate. I recommend A-Sub sublimation paper. Low-quality paper can result in poor quality prints, such as blurry or faded designs. Use the Right Pressure Leave the film on the bookmark blank until you are ready to sublimate. This keeps dust from collecting on the blank and it reduces scratches and blemishes. Sublimating Your Design onto Your Blank Bookmarks Prep Work – Peel the Film from BOTH SIDES Applying Your Design – Heat Press Temp to 350-356 Fahrenheit The biggest mistake people make is forgetting to remove the plastic protective film from BOTH sides of the bookmark blank. Plastic sublimation bookmark
Glass is a popular substrate for sublimation printing, but again, they must be sublimation friendly or have a coating or layer applied that accepts the sublimation ink. The following are the recommended sublimation heat press settings for glass: Press ONE Blank at a time until you are confident in your settings. Every heat press is different and everyone uses different inks. There is no “right” settings, only good starting points. Various hole options and a choice of 26 different tassel colours plus NEW! We have also added a super Luxury silver plated chain tassel with a silver plated snap hook to attach to our bookmarks for a very special extra touch. The material is made of a special polymer plastic which allows heat transfer of sublimation ink. Remember: sublimation ink can permanently transfer to polyester and polymers.
