About this deal

The sillage and longevity are both moderate/average, offering a good 4-5 hours of perceptible, vanilla joy that lingers on the skin even longer. This is a vanilla for those who love amber fragrances with vibrant vanilla nuances such as Commodity Gold, Tauerville Amber Flash, or Armani Prive Ambre Orient. Pineward Velvetine. Gorgeous slightly warm spicy, woody (not heavy very balanced) animalic vanilla. Real rich ambergris. It really feels like velvet when you wear it. I only have a small bottle but yearn for a large one.

The St. Barth's that's mentioned is delicious, just know it's a full-on foody vanilla, nothing subtle about, but I may actually prefer it to Tihota, though I don't wear either often, they're too cupcakey for me. Shalimar edt by Guerlain: simply one of the best vanillas I've ever tried. Classy, elegant, grown up, quintessentialy tasteful. It's powdery, ambery, oriental with a sensual trail. Perfectly blended with some citruses on the top and then becoming soft and smoky. Can't get enough of it, divine. Honorable Mentions: Farmacia SS. Annunziata Vaniglia del Madagascar , Il Profvmo Osmo Scents Vanille Bourbon, La Maison de la Vanille Vanille Divine des TropiquesI've always love vanilla fragrances.. before the gourmand explosion was on trend I remember always get complimented for my sweet/foody/slightly androginous scents.. my favourites were and are.. Today, everyone knows the scent and taste of vanilla, but mainly the synthetic variant, as the real vanilla extract is very expensive and its production hardly profitable for producers. The scent of vanilla consists of several components, of which the main ones are vanillin and piperonal (heliotropine). For those, I'd like to put forward another Guerlain creation, one that actually manages to use Guerlain's famous vanilla accord, but in a smaller dose: Shalimar Perfume Initial. It's powdery and woody with a slight whiff of vanilla; a composition in which you can really enjoy the entire development, even if you are not a vanilla lover. The vanilla note turns out delicious without being sweet, and over time it becomes a complementary note under a dusty cloud of powdery iris. I believe this is the least sweet edition of Shalimar’s family; easier to wear with still a significant sillage. Shalimar Parfum Intial is one of those fragrances where patchouli is in love with vanilla; both notes develop softly and in harmony without deviating into plastic earthiness. Parfume Intial is a 4th generation Shalimar, approaching L'Heure Bleue in the most elegant gesture Thierry Wasser could imagine! It gets muskier, woodier and cosmetically sweet with time, after which it turns to quiet and innocent with a subtle and faint trail of vanilla that you will enjoy even if you don't tend to love vanilla.

Henry Rose, Dark is Night is the best vanilla from this house. Rich and full bodied. A grown-up vanilla that is fully unisex and quite sexy. Torn from this house is also nice. A floral vanilla w/ a touch of praline. Torn is more of a vanilla lover perfume. The most 'beloved' vanilla seems to be Tahitian (which is narcotically sweet and flowery) and the most brutal ones are Vanille Mexique and Givree d Antilles. Out of which the last is best adorn by me myself. Gather Perfumes Shakti another all natural. Shakti is one of my favorite perfumes. Beautiful ylang, surrounded by her secret sourced vanilla (it is unlike any other vanilla I have smelled, her vanilla wherever she gets it is amazing) spices, blood orange, and cedar moss. Smoky yet still light. I wear this year-round, even in hot weather. She also made a floral called Ambrosia that has vanilla, jasmine, ylang, blood orange and it is just stunning. I wear it when I have migraines, it is that soothing. It was limited edition and is gone now but I am hoping she will make more come Valentine's Day. However, when her mom bought her the Vanilla Lace for Christmas, she thought it smelled divine, like a slice of vanilla pudding cake! How Long Does Victoria’s Secret Vanilla Lace Last For?Dzing! by L'Artisan Parfumeur was inspired by the zoo, by the sawdust and the animals, the fun and festive air that surrounds a performance, but also the comforting feel of a childhood memory. It's probably not a surprise that vanilla is so closely tied to childhood memories. Dzing! does not immediately recall vanilla, it actually smells like a cross between moving boxes, sawdust and old books, all of this sprinkled with the slightly unsettling hint of animal musk in the distance; this thing is heaving. The fragrance mist offers a fresh and clean yet sensual and woody scent that isn’t overpowering, regardless of the number of times you wear it. When Should You Wear It? There is a whole House dedicated to vanilla - La maison de La Vanille which offers an entire line of approaches to vanilla for both haters and lovers. Talia oil by Johnny Was for those who like vanilla mixed with orange, patchouli, and jasmine, and a little hippy-ish. If you’re looking to receive numerous compliments, you can mix the fragrance mist with the alluring Vanilla Lace lotion.
