The A4500 follows the original line of the A45 through Northampton. The section east of the town centre gained the number on construction of the A45 Northampton bypass. The western section only became the A4500 when the A45 was rerouted to multiplex with the M1 in the 2000s. When Nvidia launched the 20 GB Nvidia RTX A4500 professional workstation GPU in November 2021, it took us a bit by surprise. We didn’t really see a need for a product to sit between the RTX A4000 (16 GB) and RTX A5000 (24 GB). The gap simply wasn’t that big.

On the desktop side, Nvidia revealed the RTX A5500, which slots in between the RTX A5000 and RTX A6000. It would appear that the RTX A5500 will replace the existing RTX A5000. The new model comes with 80 streaming multiprocessors (SMs), 16 more than the RTX A5000 and only four less than the RTX A6000. In addition, the CUDA core bump allows the RTX A5500 to deliver up to 34.1 TFLOPs of FP32 performance, 23% higher than the RTX A5000. The road climbs to Ecton, then crosses a valley to pass to the north of Earls Barton, which is served by the B573 which we meet at traffic lights. There's a brief dual section as we cross the next valley, after which the road winds through the village of Wilby. On the far side of the village centre newer houses line the road as far as the next roundabout, on the A509 Wellingborough bypass, where the A4500 ends. The A5128 now follows the line of the former A45 into town.Improved NVIDIA Control Panel User Interface: previously hidden user interface elements of the NVIDIA Control Panel when system is connected to a remote desktop or when primary display is not connected to the NVIDIA GPU (e.g., MS Hybrid), are now accessible; viewing system topology details, setting up Mosaic, and access to GPU utilization are now available. The RTX A5000 pulled ahead more in Unreal Engine, especially when real time ray tracing was enabled on the Audi automotive model.
