The Wood Awards is the UK’s premier competition for excellence in architecture and product design in wood. The elite independent judging panel not only judges all submitted entries but also visits the shortlisted projects in person, making the Wood Awards a uniquely rigorous competition. Established in 1971, the Wood Awards recognises, encourages and promotes outstanding wood design, craftsmanship and installation. With only 20 buildings from all sectors shortlisted and an in-person visit by a judge for each one, making the shortlist is a huge achievement for the whole team. For me personally, seeing the results from my efforts in writing the competitive awards entries is very rewarding.
