About this deal

I was delighted, therefore, to see that the 2950 ranges from -3% to +15%, which is superb. This is all fully powered and adjustable using OneTouch controls on the main console. At this point we also realized that the ceiling in the room we were assembling it in was too low, and we wouldn't be able to incline very far without bumping our heads. We made the decision to move it to another room. Of course, it wouldn't fit through the doorway, even folded up.

Of course, something like the LifeFitness Platinum Club Series sits at the top end of the budgetary scale – it's got the word 'platinum' in it, so what did you expect? – but that's not to say there aren't great choices to suit less extravagant tastes. The On-Air tab is where you find live iFit workouts. Right now, there are only around two live classes a week. Peloton, by comparison, offers around seven daily classes on its Tread connected treadmill. But in the iFit On-Air section, there's a schedule of classes that you can stream on demand with a live leaderboard. This feature is very cool; you basically start an on-demand class at the same time as other people, and compete against just them on the leaderboard. That said, if you enjoy the energy of live studio classes, you might be happier with the Tread. A 15% incline is hard to put into words. It’s almost like walking up a set of stairs, which is why this can also be used in the same manner as a step trainer or elliptical. The incredibly powerful motorTake natural strides on the spacious 55 x 152 cm belt, switching between comfortable impact reduction and solid road settings with Runners Flex™ cushioning. There’s no getting past it. A huge draw of this model is the fully powered incline and much-rarer decline. You can now sync your wireless Bluetooth headphones directly with iFit. If you prefer, the upgraded speakers also provide good volume. These will sync with your phone as well if you want to play your music through the 2950 speakers.

The 2950 allows runners to use Bluetooth to sync music playing from their smart devices through the treadmill’s soundbar. The latest upgrade also enables runners to listen to the audio of the workout videos playing on the 2950 through Bluetooth compatible headphones. Water Bottle, Cup Holders, Tablet and Phone Holders We use the following tests to evaluate various treadmill features. Each test is administered in our studio by our professional reviewers. We have reviewers of all sizes test each model. Test scores range from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent) Motor Power Test: 5 (motor is powerful and quiet) The beautiful 22″ screen works in tandem with the iFit service and will keep you busy for years, with a wealth of content that interacts with the incline and difficulty level you train at. It really is a marvel to see in action.

On top of the touchscreen controls, all of the major things like incline and speed are controlled through OneTouch, which run down both sides of the screen and let you adjust these key settings instantly, rather than having to scroll through entire lists. Curbside Delivery: With curbside delivery, your equipment will be delivered to the first dry area or as close to your home as possible. Folks who want a more standard treadmill and don’t need to spend the extra money on high tech features. You can tap the screen at any time to access volume controls, enter full-screen mode, or pause the workout. In full-screen mode, you don't see any metrics or the leaderboard. The volume controls let you adjust the trainer and music separately. iFit is exceptional and it’s getting better every month. iFit adds new classes and features constantly. From Live classes to Bluetooth connectivity for wireless headphones to expanded class options and even impressive videography, the subscription content on the 2950 is exceptional. The instructors are professional and the videography feels like a movie. Indoor classes are good, but the outdoor locations are where iFit really shines. Class Variety: 5 (Live, On-demand, cardio, strength, yoga, recovery, TED talks)

Automatic Trainer Control: This is what makes the iFit experience unique. It lets your machine adjust the incline, decline, and resistance automatically in real-time, based on the terrain, type of workout you’re doing, and trainer you’re working with. It really does help create an immersive experience that adapts to what you’re seeing on screen, especially with that huge -3% to 15% incline/decline range. When you’re running in the woods, these adjustments really make you feel like the terrain is changing as you go. Outdoor Running Routes: The outdoor routes are updated regularly and feature options of all lengths and difficulties. Some of the recent additions include hikes through Zion National Park, trail walks through New Zealand, or a Thanksgiving 10k run filmed live with other runners. If you’re looking for a home running machine that delivers high performance, alongside one of the best inclines we’ve ever seen, then the Commercial 2950 should be high up on your list. Adaptive Heart Rate Training: iFit now includes adaptive heart rate training where the difficulty of the workout is customized based on your heart rate zones and specific workout goals. In Browse, you can scroll through workouts organized by series, trainer, and different categories, including active recovery, audio only, beginner, cross-training, hiking, international, running, studio, strength, walking, and walk-run. There's also a My Workouts section showing all the custom workouts you created. On the top right of the screen, a search icon lets you filter workouts by category, continent, duration (less than 20 minutes to more than 50 minutes), environment (beach, city, desert, forest, landmarks, mountains, savannahs, studio, and waterfront), intensity (levels 1 through 7), target area of the body, and trainer. You can use your connected tech of choice to access top-notch fitness classes and unique outdoor experiences from around the world. iFit does a superb job of onboarding some genuinely awesome talent, and they employ dozens of trainers for their elliptical, running, rowing, and cycling classes. The iFit platform is changing all the time, but as of this writing, here are some of the features I like best: Athletes training for marathons and outdoor competitions as the option to decrease the cushioning of the belt can help the treadmill’s surface mimic different terrains.

Second, the rest of the structure is incredibly well put together, which is why it holds up to 300lbs (135kg.) A: Yes. The Commercial 2950 comes equipped with detailed assembly instructions. Assembly usually takes 60-to-90 minutes. You will want 2 people for assembly because some of the pieces are quite heavy. I tell you all this as a cautionary tale. The Commercial 2950 is large and heavy. Assembling it isn't easy, and it requires a fairly high ceiling. At a zero percent incline, the belt sits 10.5 inches off the ground. Fully inclined, it sits around 17.25 inches off the ground. Consider these measurements, plus the height of the tallest person in your household when evaluating whether your ceiling is high enough for the Commercial 2950. This article does a good job explaining how to determine whether a treadmill will fit in your space.Aside from the iFit subscription, the 2950 already comes with 40 pre-installed workouts. Runners can select outdoor routes created through Google Maps with images of the actual landscape. The treadmill is programmed to mimic all of the routes’ peaks and valleys so the user can feel like they are actually running on the terrain. The third function, as mentioned earlier, is as a step trainer or elliptical. At inclines close to 13% and set to slow speeds, incline trainers have a steep enough gradient to be used like these other gym cardio staples. The maximum speed of 13.5mph is more than fast enough for most runners, and the huge range of incline settings provides plenty of scope for hill training. Whatever the speed or incline setting, the sturdy treadmill felt secure with minimal wobbling and shaking. The console is simple and streamlined on the 2950. Extra buttons have been eliminated since most program features are controlled via touchscreen. The main area of the console includes the screen, OneTouch controls on either side, fans and speakers. It is a very sleek design. A ledge just below that features the fan and volume buttons, manual speed and incline controls, Start/Stop buttons and Emergency Key. Fans Buyers of the 2950 can maximize the use of their treadmill with the iFit subscription. Runners can sign up for live classes or select a program from the thousands included in the iFit library. Runners can choose an in-studio class led by a personal trainer, or they can follow them as they run along an outdoor route anywhere in the world (technically, of course). Users can walk, hike, jog, and sprint throughout many of the running programs that include a beginner’s incline series, walking tours, and a featured workout of the day, just to name a few.
