About this deal

The merchant players in Port Royalare trying to earn as much as they can out of the Caribbean Sea, but if they set their goals too high, they might take home nothing for the day. In this phase the active player will be able to take 1-3 cards from the harbor display and then all other players will also get a chance to take 1 card. Exactly how many cards the active player will be able to take depends on the number of differently colored Ships in the harbor display: To fulfill the requirements of an Expedition (visible on the bottom of the card) he has to have Persons with matching abilities in his personal display. He puts the matching Persons into the discard pile and takes the Expedition into his personal display, as well as a number of golden coins as depicted on the card. A player may claim Expeditions any time during his turn, and as many as he is able to.

Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) is an NVIDIA RTX technology that uses the power of deep learning and AI to improve game performance while maintaining visual quality. This feature test helps you compare performance and image quality with and without DLSS. I bought this game and both the currently available expansions at the same time. Then, I immediately mixed them together so they fit in one box. So in this review, I will include all 3. There is also a cooperative variant where player team up to try and complete a certain amount of contracts within a set amount of time. The time is not ‘real-time,’ more a separate card pile that when exhausted, ends the game. There are very simple rules to adapt this from one to five players, and easy ways to make it easier or harder by changing the size of the time pile. There are also score targets in the rules which I always like, showing you how well you have done. This is a very smooth and welcome addition. For the first time in the acclaimed Port Royale series, you are not alone in the beautiful and seemingly so peaceful seas of the Caribbean. The Multiplayer mode allows up to 4 players to play through LAN or over the Internet. Develop a successful trading company, lead your ships in beautiful 3D naval battles and force your opponents to their knees! Key Features:

The Caribbean, in the turbulent 17th Century. The mighty kingdoms of Spain, England, France and the Netherlands fight over the colonies. And there you are, a young sea captain whose only goal is to become the most powerful man in the New World. To achieve that goal, you may choose one of the two available campaigns: will you become an Adventurer or a Trader? Leave a little space next to it for an open discard pile. Each player now starts with 3 coins that are dealt from the draw pile to each player as face down cards into their personal display, with only the golden coins showing. Each person card has 3 points of interest. The Cost is how much it will cost to hire this person. The Points are how much this person will be worth in victory points at the end of the game. The Benefit is what players will receive for keeping this card in front of them. In the example below the Trader costs 5 coins, is worth 2 victory points, and provides an additional coin when taking a blue ship from the Harbor display. Since its release in 2014, there have been three main expansions made for this. One offering a campaign-style experience, some with just extra cards, and this one we are looking at here, which brings in more cards, a cooperative and solo option and the main event, contract cards. Time to staff up! Every time a player gains coins, draw the appropriate number of cards from the draw pile and put them face down and with every coin visible into your display without ever looking at the front. For every card, a player owns 1 coin.

An important part of the game are the colonial nations in the Caribbean ( Spain, France, England and The Netherlands) and their relationships. Port Royal ended up being a pretty fun and well designed card game. It’s easy to learn rules and overall light complexity help make its way to my gaming table quite often. I enjoyed how there are many ways to approach victory and how each player can stay invested in the game even when it’s not their turn. Try to extend your influence and you might even be able to answer the call of one of the prestigious expeditions. Winner of the game will be the player who was able to acquire the most victory points in his personal display.Once all players have bought or declined, your turn is over, the rest of the cards in the display discarded and the next player takes their turn. The first player to 12 victory points wins. After you’ve chosen a card to buy, each of your opponents will get to buy a card from the left overs. Alex wants to repel the Flute with 2 . Since his Sailor gives him 1 . and his Pirate 2 he has a total of 3 and he succeeds.
