Employees ranked from Salary Grade (SG) 1 to 10 received a salary increase from 17.5% to 20.5% from 2020 until 2023. Unfortunately, though, teachers in public schools in the country continue to be paid deplorably low salaries. Although teachers under the Department of Education (DepEd) benefited from automatic salary increases due to SSL, their salary is still relatively low, as seen in the table below.
