Employees ranked from Salary Grade (SG) 1 to 10 received a salary increase from 17.5% to 20.5% from 2020 until 2023. Unfortunately, though, teachers in public schools in the country continue to be paid deplorably low salaries. Although teachers under the Department of Education (DepEd) benefited from automatic salary increases due to SSL, their salary is still relatively low, as seen in the table below. DepEd Teacher Position The guidance has been updated to reflect changes brought about by the revised NASC technical guidance TG20 last year. Examples include updated illustrations such as TG20 loading bays. Operating at a maximum temperature of 145 °C, the Kärcher SG 4/4 effectively sanitizes surfaces, eliminating bacteria and germs. With an adjustable handle, users can find the most comfortable position for cleaning, reducing strain and fatigue.

Since the first edition of SG4, which was published well over two decades ago, the scaffolding industry and the standards that support it have seen significant development, as they seek to reflect technological advancements, modern working practices, and the lessons learned by industry. Here are the SSL tables showing the new monthly salaries of government employees. SSL 2023 SG Table for Government Employees

The aim of the review is to ensure that the guidance features methods of work and equipment that reflects current industry good practice. The working party have considered accident learning, legal cases, enforcement action, good industry practices and new technology for fall prevention and protection. Upon full implementation in 2023, basic salaries of government employees would have increased by a weighted average of 23.24%. The DBM explained that the salary increase for nurses is for all public health nurses, regardless if regular, casual or contractual, full-time or part-time, as long as they are working in national government agencies, including state universities and colleges and state corporations, as well as local government units (LGUs) covered by the Compensation and Position Classification System (CPCS) under Republic Act (RA) No. 6758 or the Compensation and Position Classification Act of 1989. Following two fatal accidents involving scaffolders falling through fragile roofs, we have expanded the guidance for working on or near fragile surfaces. This includes information for employers and scaffolders for assessing and controlling the risks associated with potentially fragile surfaces.

DepEd public school teachers with a Master Teacher position, meanwhile, are entitled to the following monthly salary: Written by NASC and industry experts, over the years this guidance has challenged industry practices and has clearly demonstrated an impact in saving lives and preventing serious injury. All scaffolding operatives should hold a current CISRS card and be trained to SG4:22 Preventing Falls in Scaffolding Operations which sets the standard across the UK.” Speaking about the launch of SG4:22, Acting NASC Managing Director, Dave Mosley said: “SG4 has long been one of the most important documents in the access industry, as such it is imperative that it receives a thorough review every 5 years. Since its introduction it has went a very long way in helping make our industry a safer place – for NASC members and non-members alike. It is a must-have document for anyone involved in working at height, scaffolding and access.” One area that has seen an opportunity for avoiding work at height is through the use of technology. The use of drones, digital mapping and 3D modelling of buildings is making surveying and temporary works engineering more accurate and much safer. SG4:22 Technical Author and Simian Managing Director, Simon Hughes added: “Having been involved with NASC for over 25 years, I am proud to be associated with NASC and particularly in the development of their flagship safety guidance.Based on the SSL 2023 salary grade table, a government employee ranked SG 1 Step 1 will receive a monthly salary of P13,000.00 — a P483.00 increase from the previous salary of P12,517.00 in 2022. By signing the law, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte continued the annual salary increase for government workers initiated by former Pres. Noynoy Aquino, which started with SSL 1 in 2016 ending with SSL 4 in 2019. All government personnel — regardless if regular, contractual or casual, appointive or elective, and on full-time or part-time contract — are covered by the Salary Standardization Law (SSL). The monthly salaries for all other nursing positions in public hospitals in 2023 is as follows. Nursing Rank
