It took me a few tries before I figured out how to properly put this bag on…its not like other messengers but it is a lot easier to put on especially if the bag is heavy. They may be better known for their iconic saddles but Brooks have also made something of a design classic with the Strand messenger bag. Each to his own. I have Timbuk2 22 litre messenger bag and a few others…..but rarely use these. Instead I utilize my very old Mountain Equipment Coop MBag, now over 20 plus years old. MEC is sort of like REI, but was a true coop, but now bought out. Anyway….
A top handle would be a been nice addition to the Citizen. I like having multiple carry options at work, not just shoulder carry. Style Reflective straps and mounting loops for lights provide additional safety by making you noticed by drivers at night. The Chrome Citizen is large enough to swallow a 17″ Macbook Pro. One size does not fit all though…imagine a 13″ laptop slamming around in a 17″ sleeve. Peak Design is a company that prides itself on designing user-friendly products for carrying camera equipment and electronics with ease. The Everyday Messenger is no exception. This feature-rich bag has ambidextrous carrying capacities and provides great organization for camera equipment and other electronics. It is weather-resistant (though not waterproof), mounts easily onto the trolley handle of wheeled luggage for travel, and sits upright for easy access to your gear. For the right person or photographer, this bag is an exceptional option. Unlike other messenger bags, unfortunately the Citizen by Chrome does not come in multiple sizes to choose from. You have one size which can be off-putting for someone who needs a larger or smaller bag that what is offered. The dimensions for the bag are: 22”W x 13”H x 7”D and weighs just over two pounds.
Why You Should Trust Us
When it comes to functionality, Chrome does a decent job with their Citizen Messenger bag. It’s not anything that is mind blowing or completely different than what the competition is doing. And they make sure to include important features, there’s just one small thing I wish they would improve on, but first we’ll take a look at what Chrome did right. The shoulder strap has a front-facing ribbon of reflective material to warn oncoming traffic while the closure straps on the flap keep you visible to traffic behind you.
At 4.02 lbs weighed, this drops into our review as the heaviest bag. It has a nice, wide shoulder strap to distribute the load, but it is easy to make this bag really heavy (because it is also large), so when it is fully loaded, it really weighs mightily on your left shoulder. This bag had one of the higher capacities in our OGL Volume and Load Tests, but because of the heavy starting (or empty) weight of the bag, it had one of the lower Volume/Weight Ratios. Best Applications With an overall capacity of 10L the Granville 10 Courier Bag is still good for carrying laptops up to 12-inch. Comfortable, compact, intuitive design, easy on/off, reflective panel for higher visibility at night When choosing the right messenger bag for your needs, the capacity of the bag should be the number one priority.

The size of your laptop will dictate how big you will need this compartment. Typically, messenger bags can comfortably fit 13-inch laptops. Conclusion
The Mini also still has the handy key clip inside the main compartment, which always lends peace of mind… Electronics It is much better to work out how much gear you will be carrying day-to-day and tailor your choice to that. The bag is not completely waterproof but it will stand-up admirably to drizzle without worrying about your expensive content. Unfortunately the bag only comes in one size so if it is too big or small on you then you may end up returning it.
The internal handle might seem like a subtle design feature but it is extremely convenient. It makes moving the bag around easy off the bike without constantly having to close the flap. Great for going between meetings or just shuffling seats in a coffee shop. Surrounded by tons of fast moving steel, cyclists are extremely vulnerable out on the roads and more so when riding in busy city environments.A great messenger bag or sling will keep your kit well organized, and will wear comfortably, so you can get on with your daily commute.
