Gameplay:Each time we load the game, the animals go all puppy-eyed as if we’ve forgotten about them; their gauges looking bleak. However, the sheer satisfaction of watching my daughter learning her responsibilities, albeit fun ones, was brilliant – especially as she had so much fun with things us older gamers would overlook. Just like the first installment, players can collect, feed, and play with 12 different magical creatures. There are different skins and accessories for each pet, as well as collectible items used for decorating the ocean. In this version, the graphics, pets, and items are much more attractive compared to the first Fantasy Friends. The whole setting reminded me of Viva Pinata. A game I absolutely adored on the old Microsoft systems, which needs a reboot (I know you read this Microsoft, and no, the Fortnite Party Pinata is not good enough). Sadly, the whole set felt like an abomination from hell, combining the said game with features from Nintendogs and the likes while adding some horror-aspects which even my little girl (age range this game is targeted at) could not care for.

Little digits will need to stroke the on-screen eggs for them to hatch, revealing a pet. The first one, which I’m assuming is across the board for all players and not random, was a kitten. An easy option as kids will either like kittens or puppies. The whole setting reminded me of Viva Pinata under the Sea like they released this game in the Little Mermaid universe or something. While the first one felt like an abomination from hell, the second one feels a bit more polished. The whole sea theme is well done and the waiting times I hated in the first entry are shortened (which makes the game more paced).Random magical events can happen at any time underwater!
