Welcome to the family! This year, there’s a wedding at the Petting Zoo. As a guest of honour, you are as always greeted in a friendly manner, but upon closer inspection, something doesn't seem quite right about this celebration. A place where old friends, as well as many new characters, lurk in a terrifying museum. Lovingly cast in wax for all eternity, terrifying grimaces peer from every corner. To get away safely, you’ll need a keen instinct, or the merciless truth behind the masks may be revealed. The Crazy Train is perfect for all ages, and takes you on a train tour of the farm for over a mile, with seasonal displays as you go.

The Festival Of Fear is Galey Farms signature event for the year! The festival has four main features which offers Halloween fun for all ages.For younger kids, the Cornfield of Horror has a Haunted House and animated displays that are great to visit during the day. Once 6pm rolls around, it gets a lot spookier in the cornfield and is best left for the bigger kids who are wanting a scare. But little did they know that evil lurked in their midst with several teenage girls that had gone missing in neighboring counties, creating an atmosphere of fear and paranoia in southwest Iowa. At the same time, the Cuban Missile Crisis would turn their idyllic world upside down, the conflict between the United States and USSR gripping at the throats of the country and the world with the threat of global thermonuclear war.

If your Film has been Screened Privately, or at other Film Festivals, or Released Theatrically outside of Canada, that is fine, as long as it is not Available on the Internet, has been Broadcast on Canadian Television, or as long as it is not Available on Bluray, DVD, Pay Per View, etc... In other words, if your Film is AVAILABLE to Audiences in Canada it is NOT Eligible to be Screened at the FESTIVAL OF FEAR. HORROR FILMS and anything HORROR RELATED is what we love to Screen, and what our Audiences love to see... When Wordsworth says “Let nature be your teacher”, it seems like sound advice. The trouble is, the classroom is falling apart. The recent State of Nature report concludes that almost a quarter of mammals and half of birds in the UK are under threat of extinction from a combination of climate change, farming practices, pollution and the construction of new housing estates, making it “one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world”. The urgency to preserve – in direct action and in literature – the habitats that shaped us and shape us still has never been stronger. And although the tales of ghosts, sacrifice, devils and debauchery are unsettling, folk horror plays an important role in this process. Always joking around with their red noses, colourful clothes and unkempt hairstyles; it’s the clowns! Their jokes will have you dying with laughter. While Grim and his silly friends guarantee that if you survive, your visit to their funhouse will never be forgotten. Rehearsals are over, it’s showtime! The 2019 Film competition will open on October 31st, 2018, for all New Feature Length & Short Films, from around the world. We will accept all Submissions until August 25th, 2019
